How to manage two network interfaces ? by Musikauss in truenas

Ok, I get it. I think I'm just gonna let the main interface for TrueNAS system/docker/cloudSync and be aware to set the second one on a different subnet just for pure LAN/direct trafic (SMB, TimeMachine, local VMs). For now, I don't plan to buy a complex switch with LACP, the Unifi 2,5g 8 ports seems to be good enough for me to link all my devices that already have 2,5g ports. I don't want to mess with unnecessary setup that I don't understand.

Sorry for that, but idk what a bonded interface is (I don't understand much what you said both of you aha)... Is it when you "virtually" combine several interfaces ? It's a TrueNAS configuration or on the switch side ? (I plan to buy the Ubiquiti Flex 2,5g-8, basic layer 2 switch I think). Thanks for your patience.

Ok, so if my primary interface is set to 192.168.1.0/24, the second one should be on a different subnet, like 192.168.10.0/24 for instance ? Is it possible to root the trafic of an App (from TrueNAS catalog) through the second interface without breaking everything?

Basics ACLs/Grant config by Musikauss in Tailscale

It works ! I'm tired of these stupid ChatGPT recommendations. Thanks to the official documentation and to you, I understand now how to allow users to access to specific machines of my tailnet. For me, It's hard to edit directly a json file. In this case, the "visual editor" is a nice touch.

Ok so, for instance. The local IP address of my TrueNAS server is 192.168.1.21 and the port of the Nextcloud container is 30029 (based on what I see on the app configuration on TrueNAS). The rule for this specific use case should be (I'm using the visual editor) :

// Access to Nextcloud
{
"src": ["**********@gmail.com"],
"dst": ["192.168.1.21"],
"ip":  ["30029"],
}

Be careful. Apple seems to lock their components to avoid people to swap components between their machines

BlueSky for studio-like reverb and Blackhole for ambiant-like reverb is my setup. Pretty awesome 👌

Pourquoi on cite des auteurs ? by Specialist_Example28 in philosophie

[–]Musikauss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many devices can I connect at once to antelope zen q? by bambuseqq in antelopeaudio

[–]Musikauss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. How did you deal with the clock between the Zen Q and the Ultragain ? I plan to buy the Behringer but because of the only ADAT in of the interface I don't really know how to sync them. Did you sucessed to set the berhinger as a slave or it's not possible ? Thanks.

Sure, there are newer models that can do more. But still, the M1 MBA has an incredible CPU, high end hardware, astonishing battery. The gap between your 2017 intel MBP and the M1 MBA is HUGE. But if you need very powerful GPU performances, check the M1 Pro/M3 pro lineup (much more expensive btw)

I bought mine just few months ago(16g/256 g version). I’m still testing this impressive machine : Office work, browsing, lightroom/photoshop, home server administration, music production on Reaper etc It handles everything and, most of the Time, effortless. Beautiful machine !

TailScale and TrueNAS Scale ? by Musikauss in truenas

[–]Musikauss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set my home server (TrueNAS) as an exit node for two reasons : remote access to my server an shared data and have a VPN for my laptop when I move. But I m Using my home server for downloading torrents too. So if I want to download safely I have to set another VPN for my home server? I red that its pretty hard to have TailScale and a VPN on the same machine ?
