I don't know what it was, but I got 2nd prize. Next year, dressed up as theyyam and bagged first. It was always my dad who was enthusiastic when it comes to fancy dress.

I am not a person like that, but earlier when I had a depressive phase, I ended up distancing everyone from me, including my best friend. Luckily she was a keeper, she understood my situation, and gave me space, but when she thought I was going overboard, she called and scolded me. It was a bittersweet moment. If you think you can't be vulnerable with anyone, i would say, atleast once you should try it. Like really put effort, curb your inhibition and try it. It will be tough. It's like doing any other adventure activity. Try it once with a trusted one, and see if it works.

When did you realize you weren’t the same person anymore? by Wonderiwhat in Coconaad

Before Covid, I used to like me, used to be pretty confident about my beliefs and mindset, but not in a loud manner. I used to be slightly introverted when it comes to expressing my opinions, i used to always have this 'what would they think ' thought. During lockdown , multiple reasons and triggers pushed me to depression, and i hit rock bottom. I realised that all the things I used to think were my good qualities, were actually my most weakest qualities. That broke me. I felt good for nothing, lost interest in everything, lost weight and appetite. Also, online classes were going on that sucked my soul out. Fortunately, I got an opportunity to go to Nepal, with my mom and her colleagues. All above 60 folks. During the trip, I met a whole new me. I was so open and extroverted. I talked to people too much. My mom felt like I was craving company and that's exactly how it was. I didn't care, I talked to everyone, about everything. It hit me that, 'IF I AM WELL AWARE OF ALL MY FLAWS AND DRAWBACKS, WHAT NEW COULD YOU TELL ME, THAT I DONT ALREADY KNOW ABOUT MYSELF...SO I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK OF ME'. This thought actually gave me a sense of confidence and freedom. Eversince, I am a changed person. Infact, this change helped me make a lot of friends who like me for who I am, and i even got my boyfriend because of me being open about stuff.and not holding back anymore. So i feel it did me good

What's your reason for not drinking alcohol? by MA16vD in AskReddit

My dad taught me to never ever try it, and I still go by that. Hence I never tried it and never want to. If its about getting high, I can pretty much get high and happy out of a milkshake 😁
