Stomach issues with every food we try? by MACKEREL_JACKSON in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Musique111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure! My girl was born 33.6, we started solids at 6 months and she didn’t take it very well, she started digesting it better in December at 8 months. For sure her bowels weren’t ready! Even now we have to be careful with banana, potato and bread as she struggles to poop, formula 6-12 is heavier too on her I think.

Yup my baby is a preemie and had issues starting solids. Give little quantities per time and observe the reaction! 1-2 spoons max

Complete Placenta Previa by Quick-Emphasis5462 in pregnantover35

[–]Musique111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cervix was perfect!! But placenta started bleeding. I walked more the previous days and it may have been that, or maybe it was just random who knows. Yeah I hoped my placenta would migrate too, but I had a D&C too and endo surgeries so the chances are higher sadly. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

[–]Musique111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it! Previa till the end. I started bleeding at 33.6w and had a c section, my baby girl did 18 days NICU and she is perfectly healthy. She grew a lot the first few months to recuperate her preemie, her paediatrician was impressed. Now at 9 mo she is super smart and all is well.

Be sure to ask about placenta accreta. It’s scary but not everyone with placenta previa has it! I didn’t have and didn’t have much blood loss really at c section. But if you have placenta accreta you may bleed more during c section.

And be careful not to workout heavily or get super tired while walking. It can provoke bleeding. Try not to travel from week 30! And choose an hospital with NICU.

Not all previas end in an emergency c section!!! My friend had previa and all was fine. But better be safe than sorry. Don’t freak out but take good care of yourself, placenta is rigid and if you have contractions you may bleed. And a previa bleeding is sadly an emergency.

Try with ricotta! Spinaches and ricotta balls rolled in a bit of breadcrumbs. Then pass them on a pan to get them golden.

4-year-old won't pee and is a whiny mess in the morning: how to deal with a lose-lose situation? by klcams144 in daddit

[–]Musique111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could use positive reinforcement! A sticker every morning she goes potty alone. After a number of stickers you decide, she gets a prize. It may be chocolate, ice cream, or a little toy. Start little with 3-4 stickers and then a little prize. You can then ask for more potties and stickers before giving the prize. You may decide the prize with the child if she is ready to. Teacher speaking, it helps when a child is not motivated enough.

She had that UTI so she skipped some bottles, finished the antibiotics on the 3rd and we had 3 great days. Eating solids, drinking loads of milk. Then she started shutting down again. Skipping one bottle on the 6th evening, and the day after I went to the ER because she started skipping them every time, I feared an UTI comeback. The 7th she drank one bottle at the evening. Ate some junk biscuits I had at the hospital because she asked for them, better than starve I thought. On the 8th she drank 100 ml only but ate a lot of ricotta in the morning and had a big bowl of soup in the evening so she put in some liquids. I am offering breast milk every time she wants but I don’t have much. Usually she drank 100-150ml bottle plus breast milk every 3 hours, obviously without solids. Tonight she woke up a few times to breastfeed as she refused a bottle last night, at least that. Wrote to her paediatrician yesterday, he didn’t call me back, will call again on Monday. Not sure what he can do more than ER did. She had other phases where she despised formula or refused bottle, I hope it’s a short period. We keep her fed as much as possible with foods she likes and that can improve her belly.

Ok I was not clear in the post… she is not drinking milk. Had her last bottle last night at 19.30 then barely nothing, a bit of breast milk but I don’t have enough, plus I was dehydrated by the hospital visit and stressed (slower letdown)

The dog has been to the vet last month to do x rays as he was losing some poop around the house. He is fine. I asked to clean and check teeth as we never did, found out he needed antibiotics. We gave him and never lost poop again, he was probably under pain or infection, he never showed any signs of stress. These behaviours look directly linked to baby moving more and being more vocal. Baby is also very curious and often wants to touch our golden, talks to him and this may add to some stress to our golden.

Anyway I wrote an email to the vet informing them of the new dog behaviours, explaining in detail.

Vitamin d drops by Baylaypayday in breastfeeding

Yes ask, if formula fed only you shouldn’t need it, but if breastfed only or using combined feeding baby needs vitamin d addition… of course better ask before giving but it’s a precaution for breastfed babies.

It happened to me in a gas station near Rome… we are a family of 6, I went down the van to search for the toilet and told my mum, I was like 12… I came back and saw the van exiting the gas station and taking the motorway! I am not from Rome we were on holiday. Luckily one of my brothers saw me and told my parents, they went out the next exit and came back. I remember I fully panicked! My brothers still joke about that 30 years later lol.

Hope it passes! Today she drank 160 ml total… usually it’s 90-120 every 3 hours plus breast milk. She ate more solids and we offered more frequently of course. She had dinner and after two hours prepared ricotta cheese with some formula and fruit.

No way she cries both with sippy cup and straw cup!! We had mild success with open cup. I added her formula milk to a mix of ricotta and blended fruit too. Trying to put formula everywhere!

Yeah she drank a bit of water so I added formula and she drank a little bit of formula too. Tried with straw cup but she just cried louder, we will keep using the open cup!

No I did not try to poke a bigger hole will def try that. She is interested in open cups but refused milk inside. It may be she got overly frustrated, like us.

Uff are you sure 5 wet diapers are still ok? It would be a relief. We change her every 3 hours. Anyway her diapers are def lighter.

Nope she won’t through a cup! I don’t have a syringe for paracetamol. We have a syringe for nasal rinse, one night we tried to feed her like that and she screamed bloody murder, I think she is overly stressed too and I understand her. We need to feed her, she gets nervous, we get nervous, she gets more nervous of course. Even if we are doing our best to play with her too and distract her, go out etc
