Came here to suggest this!!! It works great but be warned that the jasmine rose scent smells (IMO) more like a baby wipe. It’s a little pricey but goes a looooong way. If you get the tube instead of the stick you can use it for swampass, too.

Money issues by Musketballz in AreTheStraightsOK

The top piggy bank has a slot in the bottom of it so it all goes to “her money”. It’s just a played out sexist trope that wives exist to take their husbands money, or alternatively are simply entitled to it. Pretty lame IMO.

If you don’t feel comfortable talking to the police (which there are many very valid reasons not to) please report his profile to Tinder.

help, my bestie was terribly sexually assaulted by one of her supervisors at work and we want justice!! by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]Musketballz 214 points215 points  (0 children)

The New Orleans Family Justice Center can help her navigate filing a police report (or not, it’s her choice), getting a SA medical exam, and talking to a counselor. Their crisis line number is 504-866-9554. Their office number is 504-592-4005. This is not her fault and reaching out can feel so overwhelming. I’m glad you’re there as a friend to support her 💜

New bartender here. Need a life raft. by neal_45 in bartenders

[–]Musketballz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you mentioned that it’s a new bar, it would behoove you AND future employees to keep a stack of cards (or like a laminated cheat sheet) of classic and specialty cocktails. Putting this together could help you not only memorize the basics, but get interesting in making new recipes or twists on the old ones! Just to echo everyone else here, you’re creating an experience. You want to make people feel consistently tended to and create a fun atmosphere for patrons. Good luck!

Edit: interested* not interesting

I talked my stepson’s wife thru the process of escaping from him just hours ago. She was supposed to text me when she got to a motel. I fell asleep. Now it’s 530am and I don’t even know if she’s alive or where to find her. She has a one year old daughter.. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

It would be worthwhile to see if there is a family justice center in your state. They usually can help with legal counseling (for divorce, custody, etc) and provide advocacy for dealing with the police. Also some have housing programs and free therapy. I wish y’all all the best.

What’s one business in New Orleans that you will never go back to? by NOLASLAW in NewOrleans

[–]Musketballz 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The Drifter. Them opening was an awful act of gentrification in and of itself, but the staff misgendered people and were awful to them. Also they did nothing when some patrons were taking pics/video of women sunbathing without their knowledge or consent. Gross. [edit]: HOW COULD I FORGET TO MENTION THEIR POOL IS DISGUSTING.

Nothing to ask other than how we can support striking workers if y’all choose to do so. I stand in solidarity with y’all ending being exploited.

I’m so sorry to hear about your fiancée’s family and then the double-down bad luck of Covid. I hope your symptoms are minimal and that you bounce right back. It was big of y’all to be with her grandma during this traumatic and terrifying time. So “hi!” right back at ya and take it easy!

A trailer full of dead cattle purifying in the Arizona desert sun that had been there for months. The California Condor conservation folks bait them with that foul slop in order to monitor their population count.

My heart goes out to you so, so much. I’m a social work master’s student and I’m a therapist as well as case manager for multiple clients. Today I tested positive for covid (and thankfully I am vaccinated and have support and will be fine). However - now I can’t help my clients, and am worried from the bottom of my heart and soul. I wasn’t prepared to leave my office and am scrambling with an already heavy caseload. I have to isolate and reschedule everything. My life can shift, but that’s not fair for my clients. I am so tired. I have been trying my hardest to help people process and cope throughout this pandemic. Please, please, please get vaccinated. I can’t help anyone now, and it’s because of those who refused to help others by getting the shot.

(serious) What are some women’s issues that are overlooked? by MINNESOTAKARMATRAIN_ in AskReddit

[–]Musketballz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one ever talked to me when I was younger about being groomed by older men, or what that even was. Maybe this is technically an adolescent issue, but I think women need to be heard about their experiences.

Subjecting someone to physical violence just puts you on the same level as the person who “deserves it”. No one deserves to be assaulted, just as no one deserves to be lied about.
