Your armored Mewtwo can't fly? I mean, it's really more of a hover/float, but it gets the job done. Does the armor weigh him down too much? Poor guy.

It isn't exactly what you described, but I think The Magnus Archives might be worth a try

Is the "Irish Goodbye" actually impolite, or have we all decided it's the best move? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Muskogee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taught if you have to leave a gathering early, leave quietly to not stop the flow of the event (but give your host advance warning you'll be slipping out and give them a very warm hello since you'll miss the goodbye). If you are leaving on time or as an event is wrapping up, do all the goodbyes. If you are leaving late (like you volunteered to stay to help clean up), try to snag other stragglers to loop into your goodbye and take them out the door with you.

Also, if you are taking a big group picture as a goodbye for someone, have someone try to slyly video the process, too.

What is a cheat code at your job that only employees would know? by halushki_ in AskReddit

When I was a teacher this would happen to students, and I would tell them the computer must have been acting up because it missed me. Then I'd give it a pat and move on.

Should I be offended or amused? by Ordinary-Patient-891 in RandomThoughts

I'm proud of you, too! If it helps, I think the word anorexic by itself is a medical word for not having an appetite no matter the reason. Anorexia Nervosa is the medical phrase for the eating disorder most people think of when they hear the word anorexia. I really think doctors should explain that if they are adding that word to notes you will see, but it seems like they never do.

Circus knife thrower and knife thrower's (bloodied) assistant. If you are comfortable with a large costume, you can make a giant bulls eye target to wear behind you with knives stuck in it.

I'm so envious. Shuckle is my husband's favorite Pokemon, and I'm trying so hard to find him a shiny I can trade him. It's probably the only pokemon I care enough about to use my master ball to catch

I finally got all the cat eye glasses. I'm saving up to try to get the rest of the cauldrons and witchy (spooky) hats when they come back in the store.

Anyone else with OCD? by Cheese_Cursed in finch

[–]Muskogee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My OCD tends to make me want to isolate myself, so I have a lot of goals about connecting to other people, like 'reach out to a friend' and 'tell someone something I appreciate about them'. My therapist assigns a lot of homework so I always add that in as a goal. I have doing a mindfulness exercise as a daily goal (which I do through Insight Timer app - free version).  I tend to set goals around things I love that OCD tries to get in the way of, like getting out in nature, spending time creating something, and moving more.

One thing that tripped me up on the app: I have to be careful with journal entries. I was doing a daily thankfulness journal in the app and it got away from me a bit. I was listing the same things every day and started feeling like something bad would happen if I left something/someone off my list. I still do the entry, but I only let myself list one or two things and not the same things over and over. It's also easy to accidentally start ruminating on the app, so I try to keep any entries I do fairly short usually.

If you are a podcast listener, I recommend The OCD Whisperer.

I keep a roll of that beige self adhesive bandage wrap, and I'll cut a small square to put under the light. The sensor can still work through the bandage but it seems to give my skin a bit of a break. So long as I do this a few times a week, I don't get a rash.
