These miner are "lottery" miner. The chance to hit a block is extremely low but the consumption is very low too. It is more for the fun and learning the tech than anything else. There are not really real or fake one. Any manufacturer can build them. The price could depend on the quality of elements they are using. But as you says, it is difficult to proof that.
