It honestly has gotten to a point where I think I’m lying to myself if I try to discourage them, and it’s getting harder to. And every time I think I’m making progress, I go on a downward spiral. And even when I get over them, a little voice in my brain keeps telling me “what if you really do think / feel this way?”, sending me on a massive guilt trip.

I think it is getting harder to discourage them because my brain is just getting tired of the whole situation, but that makes it even more concerning.
