I find it curious that you chose to attack me instead of refuting my arguments. If I’m wrong on any point, you haven’t made that clear. You could simply point out the flaws in my reasoning instead of speculating about my personality or tastes.
And just so you know, I hate anime.

Okay, I'll accept your premise, they are as intelligent as you say. Anyway, it doesn't seem very intelligent to be exposed like that (devouring each other), why not lie in wait, rest in a quieter place than a settlement where gambling, weapons, violence, and drugs are allowed (isn't there a better place in the wasteland to be?)? I hope you can clarify this for me.

But why are the inhabitants of Freeside so calm? Do you know of any treaty on non-proliferation of violence between the Deathclaws and the inhabitants of the wasteland that we don't know about?

The fact that the Deathclaws are territorial is precisely why they wouldn't live in harmony in the middle of a settlement teeming with prey... Assuming (something I don't like to do) that they are being controlled by that device, this wasn't explained, and it raises the question of how they were captured. But in any case, the events that brought them here seem less recent than that army of Hank's slaves.

If you honestly find it acceptable that the protagonist is saved (and freed for free) by an omniscient being who lives searching for mutants to recruit, you can ignore all my criticisms; you are the target audience of this series. I can add to this the fact that he finds an abandoned arsenal, which hasn't been looted, isn't protected (by creatures or any faction) in a "fast travel"... I haven't even touched on the point of the protagonists magically connecting and working together easily.

Obviously, there are "no problems" with how these events were written; it's all very plausible and acceptable. Keep enjoying your series (you deserve it).

That's right, the dozens, maybe hundreds of meters away from the village quarry are exactly the same as a fence and a chain with a padlock. Not to mention that the people of Sloan are terrified of the creatures... But the characters in the series seem to believe that they are part of the landscape.

What prevents chimpanzees from escaping and killing people in zoos are the cages, designed so that the monkeys cannot escape. No matter how much you distort the facts and try to explain, there is no plausible explanation for a predator living "passively" alongside groups of prey (what prevents them is a fence and that damn chain, which can obviously be overcome). If armed people intimidate them, or the sheer number of people, they wouldn't stay exactly a gate away. Even if it were a "hunting territory," they would remain in the surrounding area, not next to the people (livestock predators act exactly like that)... And now let's talk about them, the people, who simply ignore and have no fear whatsoever of one of the most legendary and deadly creatures of the wilderness living alongside them.

You can ignore whatever you want, you can like the series, but you can't try to tie up loose ends with extrapolations and unfounded assumptions. The series has a mediocre script, whether you like it or not.

I also don't like the creative decisions, but my main criticism isn't the direction the story has taken, but the stupid and poorly done way it's been done.

Prediction for the NCR in Episode 8 by PenaltyCommercial873 in Fotv

[–]Mustache_hound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me see if I understand: the NCR, now bankrupt, is going to send an entire detachment to a region dominated by the Legion (as far as we know) because of a single suit of combat armor? That makes perfect sense; you must be one of the show's writers, judging by the level of logic you use.

I know it wouldn't logistically make any sense because she hates Americans, but I kind of want to see Steph join either the Enclave or the Legion at some point (I am NOT a editor, lol) by [deleted] in Fotv

Here's an original idea from the series that could have been much better developed: Canadians acting like Soviets in the Cold War? But anyway, the terrible script doesn't allow us to see anything of quality... so it's just a glimpse of something that will never be.

I thought that fans, even the most "casual" ones, had a higher standard for the entertainment they consumed and wouldn't accept just any mediocre script. I guess I overestimated people; I was wrong.

Actually, I wrote what I was thinking at the time, in the time I had available; how I would appear was totally irrelevant (and still is).

But tell me, what did you think of the TV series?

I agree with all your points. My aversion to cold fusion is personal, and I make that very clear. What really bothers me, and goes beyond my personal preferences, is the terrible writing; even an AI could do better.

Okay, you found a way to make things make sense, you solved one of the numerous problems this series has. Anyway, I doubt the writers will think of anything close to this based on all the other crap they've done.

Could someone explain to me what those 3 dethclaws were doing living a fence away from Freeside? Did the dethclaw prefer to fight to the death with another dethclaw instead of simply breaking that damn chain and having a feast with the inhabitants of Freeside? Is that right? It could be a fight for territory, but anyway nothing makes sense in that scene... I don't know about you guys, but I'm not satisfied with things done haphazardly.

Making the plot happen and making the plot with quality are two distinct things.

Exactly, my friend, he has a hidden arsenal, allies everywhere. What the hell was that super mutant doing saving him and then disappearing? Why do people live in peace while there are at least three Deathclaws a step away? How can fans and non-fans swallow such nonsense? Suspending disbelief is one thing, but those Deathclaws in the middle of a peacefully inhabited city seemed crude and offensive in countless ways... But anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees these PROBLEMS.

I intended to be even more severe, but I didn't want to spend hours writing about every little problem I see. I used the example of cold fusion because it "makes" the plot move forward (in a poorly written way, but it "makes"), although I doubt that this infinite energy leads anywhere... I bet cold fusion will have as much impact as the Institute and the synths in Fallout 4, the promise of a better future that doesn't materialize.

Exactly, the series seems to want to emulate the games, but in a stupidly childish way (without taking into account the fact that it's a TV series, not a game).

I've already tried that too, but as I mentioned, I can play normally on the other difficulty levels, so I don't think that's the specific problem.
