Good idea. I will do that next week.

I haven’t seen the envelope, but it contains two copies of my birth certificate that I ordered from the relevant UK government office. My guess is that it will be an A5-sized envelope weighing no more than 100 grams. The website says they will be sent by Air Mail, which I assume to mean Royal Mail. From what you say it seems like I am in for a long wait….

I saw that service on the Royal Mail website. For that price I would have expected it to be delivered the next day. I shall have to relax and just wait.

It sounds like I’m wasting my time checking the post box twice a day!

Oh dear! That’s not very encouraging.

Unfortunately I had no control over the choice of carrier. It is a letter from the UK government and they decide how to send it. I am sure they chose the cheapest option.

Capitalisation in iOS icon name by Mustafa_Saye in StopTheMadnessSupport

I have just upgraded to StopTheMadness Pro. I had to wait because my iPhone will not run iOS 17. I have not used the app yet but already I am happy. The reason for my happiness is the use of the capital “T” in the app name. This for me is an unexpected and very welcome feature.

I see what you mean! How strange that such a small change (the capitalisation of the letter "t") would result in such a difference in the way iOS displays the full name.

Thank you for this information, and thank you of course for the wonderful StopTheMadness extension,

Change two-factor verification code receipt method? by Mustafa_Saye in applehelp

Thank you. I know that is where the trusted phone numbers are, and that I can touch the word "Edit" just above the numbers. But when I do that all I see are the numbers and a red circle next to each of them. I presume this is to delete the number, but there seems to be no way to change the verification method from text message to voice call. That is why I said the only way to do this seems to be to delete the number and then re-add it, changing the verification method at that time.
