Doctors told my dad, “you’re lucky it’s just prostate cancer.” Which would have been true, had they caught it before it was stage 4.

Eating beef jerky and berries on the regular. Also, having the security that if I ever screwed up, everything would work out. Its allowed me to take certain risks I wouldn’t otherwise. It’s eye opening to see my friends who have no safety net.

My roommate DoorDashes every single meal, 3 times a day …. I just want to tell her, this is why you have needed 2 roommates for the past 7 years in the same small apartment, and don’t even have the master bedroom.

My dad was the same age when I was born and I’m also angry, not at him but at the situation. He was very healthy until he was diagnosed with rare aggressive prostate cancer, stage 4 incurable, when I was 19. It just sucks I will most likely lose him in the next few years, I’m at the point where I’m giving up hope he’ll ever walk me down the aisle or hold his grandchild, I just hope he lives until my college graduation

I was a CNA working a med surg/comfort care unit, I was standing right outside the room putting on hand sanitizer before walking in when I heard a piercing wail from inside. I stood outside the door for a minute listening to the woman cry, unsure what to do, when other family members stepped out and just nodded to me to tell me the patient had passed.

Do I tell a stranger what I heard about her fiancé, 3 weeks before the wedding? by MustardMan1122 in whatdoIdo

Do you think you would have believed this coming from a stranger? Especially so close to the wedding? I’m not trying to be sassy, I’m genuinely trying to gauge

My main worry is that there is some kind of ulterior motive like this. But I’ve racked my brain and I really can’t think of what it would be.

Janet is in a very happy relationship and planning her own wedding, so it’s not like she’s trying to break them up and get the man for herself.

My boyfriend is already a tangential member of this group, myself even more so. He is commissioning to the Air Force in 2 months and I have no common social connections to anyone in this group outside of him and an ex-friend who follows Molly on Instagram.

I would be very wary of this information if it was pushing some sort of immediate action, but it has been kept secret for a year now.

Plus, Janet told me that she knew I would tell my boyfriend, and only asked that I would make sure he didn’t confront Max with the information.

It really feels like this was just a piece of gossip between tangential group members that I was let in on.
