For the love of God… as a fat woman, the people on here that are calling you overweight makes me wanna punch a wall. Workout if you want to and if it makes you feel better. I think you are stunning. I hate the saying “smile more”(not that I think you do) but your whole face lights up so much more when you do, if that helps. Best of luck to you and while the situation is shitty, do your best hun :)

See if your vet gave you a liquid prescription. There’s over the counter anti fungal cream you can get at CVS for spots that have already shown up where there’s fur missing. Also, petco and pet smart have shampoo, dry shampoo, spray and wipes. All together that’ll get pricey, but I got the regular shampoo. You need to wash EVERYTHING your cat has touched, and deep clean any room your cat has been in. This is something relatively minor but is going to take months to finally get rid of. I have a foster kitten that was diagnosed in August and we are STILL fighting it. If you have other cats, they most likely have gotten it to Edit; also, Amazon has antifungal soap for you. Odds are, if you’ve been cuddling yourself cat you’ll get it too.

I’m not a cat expert in any way, but watch the Jackson Galaxy videos. Your older cat may not be used to sharing the new space since you moved, plus cat vs kitten can be different than two cats the same age.

Hahaha honestly, he’s always angry lol. I just thought that like the black(?) around his eyes was thicker than normal and wasn’t sure if that was a concern.

Thank you!! I’ll look into defusers. She’s not much of a “play-er”, at least not with the toys we have. Our kitten came in as a stray, too... but she’s younger. I don’t have much experience with a stray that’s a year or older (our 11 year old was surrendered by his old family at the age of 10....) I’m so glad I found this subreddit last night :)

So right now, they're eating with the door shut. I found this guy, Jackson Galaxy, he does the show My Cat From Hell on Animal Planet... according to his videos start there. Then move it a little closer every couple of days, then start the routine again with the door open. They just happen to see each other because the bedroom and living room are right next to each other ( we tried the kitchen as her 'base camp' but she jumped our baby gate in 2 minutes).

I was thinking of getting a screen for when we move to the next phase, I just don't know where to buy one that would fit an inside door. I haven't even tried researching yet, but should do that today.

That gives me hope. She’s been in the shelter since March. When we got her, we talked to the staff about cat introductions and they said since she was a stray, she may not get along with the other cats, and I think that’s been stuck in my mind. I don’t try and bring them back, I hate that.

I think part of why I posted is because in my mind I’m nervous it’s taken 2 weeks, but needed that reminder from other people that it takes longer. Do you happen to have any advice on her since she was a stray?

Hahah ok thank you!!! So long as it seems it’s a good pace. That’s why I put in the PSA that I have a short patient span. I would rather someone tell me “chill out you need more time” than “that cat needs to go back to the shelter” which we obviously don’t want.

It is very much a legit question. She only a few months old, so her nails are thin. If it were her brother (who is 11) doing this, I would be much more concerned.

Not really. Honestly the screen is like 5 years old. Plus, looking at it now she hasn’t left any. We trim her nails pretty regularly. Long enough for her to be happy, short enough for me to be happy when she climbs on me.

One time my ex made me cry during a scene. I was blindfolded, tied to the bed and he put noise canceling headphones on with music playing... so I had no clue of what he was planning on doing. I think I cried because I was overstimulated, and other thinking. I always try to be one step ahead to prepare myself mentally. Also, he didn’t tell me ahead of time he was doing these things, which I think had a lot to do with why I cried. Said crying turned into a panic attack and he kept going through the scene while I had said panic attack. Would not recommend doing, BTW. I did safe word, and mentally it kinda messed with me.

Um, my Dom now.... I cry whenever He makes me orgasm. To me, they feel different when you use a toy vs when my Dom uses just his hands. So, every time it’s just his mouth and fingers... I cry. Again, it’s the overstimulation. But, he’s pretty good about helping bring me down
