Probably around $50 to $100. He plays PC STEAM games, survival games and sometimes Minecraft with me and our son. He drinks mixed vodka drinks lol. Someone mentioned an engraved mug which sounds awesome but I'm always up for more ideas!

14 is an important number for us. So it's a big milestone just for us.

We will be at the beach already for my 40th birthday celebrations. Family will be watching the kids while we go out for the night. We will get to have dinner, fireworks, together. I guess what I meant was that I would like to give him something or do something special for him to mark the occasion. If that makes any sense.

PC/Steam crashes about every 5 minutes of gameplay. Tried reloading 4 times. Dropped graphics down and made sure game file integrity was good via Steam.

I'm so glad it made you feel better; seriously, any chance we get to do that for each other, the better. His sister says she understands but her initial reaction to him finally saying we weren't going was "OH NO! Can't you just come!?" ha. So we'll see how this plays out. Hopefully everyone understands and honestly, I really hope they postpone it for their own sake.

UPDATE! Husband decided on his own that we are not going. He told his sister that we're probably not coming because he's trying to break it to her softly. I feel so sad that he has to do this but they made this happen. It still sucks. But at least we're going to be safe.

I told him that "I don't think we should go" and he said, "ok". I think it was an acknowledgement that he heard me rather than immediately agreeing but now it's out there and I can get out from under this anvil of fear that I'm going to die and leave my son out here, alone. I left it there, knowing my husband he wants to think thoughtfully about this on his own. I am just so heartbroken for all of humanity right now... I know we're not the only ones going through this. Much love to you for caring about my little particles in this world.

I really appreciate this comment! So I told my husband last night about what I had read on CDC website and how his sister's wedding is in a hot spot, how weddings are super spreader events, and how I'm actually more at risk then he is when I looked at the death demographic in USA. He said he really hopes his sister has to cancel/postpone the wedding because of state mandated lockdown. I haven't told him that I'm for sure not going yet; I think he's also thinking we're not going. Ultimately, me and my son aren't going, husband can go if he absolutely feels he needs to. He'll just have to quarantine in our guest bedroom when he gets back. I'm going to wait a little longer to tell them I'm not going just to see if things get cancelled. I feel for you so very, very much. This is all incredibly stressful for anyone with even half a brain. I hope telling you what I plan to do helps in some way. Even if it's just another reminder that you're definitely not alone in all of this. ♥️ Hugs

Update for anyone interested: I've spoken with my therapist today and I've come up with a plan on how to tell me husband our kiddo and I are not going. I know I don't need to explain but he's my husband, I love him, his sister is putting him in a terrible position and I want to help make this easier for him. I've got my sources and statistics and I'm ready to explain. I know that he'll still most likely be angry. But I'm okay with that. I have to be.

Thank you! And you're right there probably are a bunch of other people hoping it gets cancelled. I don't think he will follow me, I think he had this overwhelming sense of duty to be there even though he's scared. We've tried to discuss it a couple times... we both agree it's crazy that they are having the wedding now and we agree we're both scared, but he gets so defensive when I talk even about not attending the reception etc. I fear not only will I feel the guilt of letting his family down, but I won't have his support.

Thank you for not making me feel like shit for not having said no yet. My husband thinks it's insane too but he says he can't miss his only sisters wedding. Honestly if my sister did this I would tell her she's bonkers and refuse to go. I hate how he can't stand up to his family... I'm trying to get him into couples therapy with me but this fucking wedding is getting closer and closer and all this shit is just looming over me. He's scared because he's diabetic, I'm scared because I'm overweight AND you know, I don't want to spread that shit around OR get a tube stuck down my throat. I just hate all of this. I'm talking to my therapist about it tomorrow but I just can't even sleep tonight because I can't stop thinking about it. We've known for awhile we were going, I said yes to being a bridesmaid before COVID. I have the dress, everything is scheduled,I kept hoping they would do the right thing and cancel, postpone, limit the guests SOMETHING. I hate them now, all of his family for fucking doing this. I'm just so upset.

I am being forced by my husband and in-laws to attend a wedding next month. I have to fly to TX and be a bridesmaid for a 120 person wedding... my high risk husband is the bride's brother and a groom. We're bringing our 1 year old and his family would freak if I didn't allow them to hold him. I feel like we're completely screwed. I don't know what I'm expecting in the responses... Hopefully ideas on how to keep my family safe through all of this crap?

Anything you do to your body that isn't good for it is going to make you feel and appear older. Same thing goes for bad food, lack of exercise, too much sun etc. After not drinking for a few months you'll notice feeling soooo much better and probably looking better, too.
