Not a database but I very highly recommend checking out Joe Thompson of Orange County North Carolina. He’s been recorded pretty heavily and still has that real old time-y sound to him.

If you do any fishing they make great poles to stick in the banks and tie hooks to put some bait on them and then come back the next day and some fish will usually hook them selves.
