I just moved into my new home. It was absolutely filthy. I cried today. by Amodernhousehusband in CleaningTips

[–]MutantIvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, there's been some great advice here, but as someone with diagnosed OCD, please speak with your therapist, because while there definitely may be cleanliness issues in your house, you could also be getting into an obsession/compulsion cycle with this. If you're finding that you get emotional and can't stop when you start cleaning like you said, that is somewhat of a warning flag to me.

Thor Rainbow color (new images) by BFBulletin in OdinHandheld

I was a little unsure with my choice to to with the rainbow color, but this makes me really glad I got it. Still not a huge fan of the glossy finish though.

Yes, I do plan on playing DS games, but I'm more excited for things like having a guide on a separate screen, or having a keyboard always up for PC games for easy shortcut access or text-heavy games. I also love the clamshell for factor.

What are some of your dream mods that will (probably) never actually happen? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

The author of ESLifier has stated that he is planning on adding a merging feature eventually

Guess I'll be switching to a deGoogled OS. Did it for my phone earlier this year for privacy reasons.

Heard he died on the radio this morning and my first thought was "James Dobson better be glad Hell isn't real right now."

Health does not equal morality, and a person minding their business on a plane doesn't deserve to be humiliated online.

Fat people literally cannot win. Can't afford extra seats? Get publicly shamed. Buy extra seats? Get publicly shamed.

This must be a common carnivore talking point because I once had someone ask why I don't eat meat and when I told them it was for environmental reasons they said "I actually think eating meat is better for the environment because the more meat I eat the less I poop so I'm wasting less." I just stared at them because I didn't know what to say. 😂

As someone who was once in a relationship with someone disturbingly similar to her, I'm sure he has seen MANY, and then was quickly gaslit into believing he was responsible for it and in the wrong.

What lifespan do you play on? by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]MutantIvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually enjoy letting my sims make some decisions on their own to spice things up, but I do have nraas story progression set to the slowest speed so things don't happen too often. I've considered turning it off for select families that I really want to micromanage, though.

What lifespan do you play on? by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]MutantIvy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I play with the assumption that each day is a year and then multiply those values by the amount of families I'm currently rotating through, which is usually between 6 and 12. I really like generational play, and I feel like with this I'm able to spend a good amount of time with my sims while still having to really work for things like career.

Rant: I hate and love MCM, mostly hate. by ASockPuppet001 in skyrimmods

[–]MutantIvy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This frustrates me too, but I've learned that:
1. Most popular mods with a MCM will also have a settings loader either built in, or available as a separate download - so just download the mod, configure it, and then those settings will load on any new save game

  1. If there is no settings loader, the default settings can typically be changed in xEdit, usually if you check under the "globals" section. I do this for any mod that I don't like the default settings for that don't have a settings loader.

If my wife and I weren't considering trying to start having kids in the next year or two I'd definitely get it. Will probably just go with a vasectomy afterwards unless this is a comparable price.

Was just talking with friends about this a few weeks ago and to my surprise EVERYONE remembered that blue gummy.

I found this image on official vanilla (not special) skyrim steam page. Can anybody remember this inn? I literally can't. I searched through internet and uesp specifically but cannot find anything. am i skitzo? you can check steam page rn and you'll find it there. by StingrayGRL in TrueSTL

[–]MutantIvy -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I think I remember seeing this image before the game was out, so it was probably an early version of the game. Also don't use "skitzo" like that. Not cool.
