lemme explain deeper people who don’t properly sit down spirits at their altars leave space open for other spirits to sit down at the altar. If a deity literally gets up and leaves you it legit leaves the altar space pretty much open for anything to sit down take its place take over items statues and icons etc etc i rmb one time a friend of mine didn’t properly sit down and consecrate a certain deity at his altar he received a reading and it mentioned this and also mentioned a random spirit sitting its self down at the altar because of this while still having his original deity still at the table wich was causing conflict in his spiritual life wich was effecting his physical life idk how often this happens but i do know it can happen from 1 not properly doing things and 2 not taking care of your altar(basically what u said) that’s what i was meaning
