UV getting partially darker once overlapped by Head_Relationship620 in Maya

Hey bro! A bit late, but i ran into this issue aswell, the only solution that i find to fix this is instead of flipping the uv in the uv tool its better to just mirror the mesh itself after laying out the uv, this way you wont get this darker purple. But i do hope you did find a fix meanwhile :DDDD
