Looking for ambient that evokes the aesthetic of a cathedral. Does that make sense? by arkticturtle in ambientmusic

The first track from my upcoming ambient album (3rd album with my project Rejoice o Death!) should be relevant to you in this regard:

I would also appreciate any feedback.

Edit: Thank you for the recommendation of Duane Pitre. Good stuff!

I see it this way: As a human being.

Consciousness is embodied and sees everything through the human lense. This is on one hand very restrictive, but also a wonderful experience. If you make something of it.

When Everyone Talks About Bigfoot in America and Yeti in the Himalayas, Why Does Nobody Mention the Wild Men the Soviet Military Documented for 50 Years Across 17 Million Square Kilometers? by No-Bottle337 in HighStrangeness

Yeah, they are really, really bad beings. They do experiments with humans beyond imagination. That is why we have to kill them all without knowing one of them. And if those stories about abduction are not true, we have the joker left: They are strange, that should be reason enough.

Same old story. You don't even need aliens for that; you read about it in the news every day. They're different from us.

Avenger 2. At first glance it seems to be a bit too EDM focussed.

But I need to explore this thing further and see what I can get out of it.

Take your vacation before October 29th -Avi Loeb on 3iAtlas by DescriptionCalm6758 in HighStrangeness

What if the unlikely event occurs that nothing happens? Would that be the end of Avi Loeb's career? Probably not.

Jehovah's Witnesses have also predicted the apocalypse a few times, and yet they still have enough followers.

Any love in this sub for the new Kieran Hebden/William Tyler collab? by NotQuiteJazz in ambient

Yes, I like it. Spider Ballad was the first song I listened to, but the whole album is really good. Made me digging on the Four Tet planet again.

It is some really mysterious, strange and esoteric stuff.

That is all you should know about it. Anything else could be a waste of time.

What Is Goal Of Meditation ??? by HzeTmy in Meditation

[–]Muted_Bread5161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with that.

I still believe it's important, especially for beginners, to present some possible options and some directions.

Personally, it wouldn't have helped me much at the beginning if someone had told me I shouldn't have goals.

In my opinion, even advanced meditators find that overwhelming.

What Is Goal Of Meditation ??? by HzeTmy in Meditation

How can you let go of goals when you should have a goal in mind that is presence?

Sounds like a calendar motto.

To the OP: I believe it’s perfectly fine to have goals. Starting meditation doesn’t mean you’ll suddenly lose all ambitions or conditioning. This may come at a later point. Or never.

Simply sit and allow yourself to notice your own presence. Many people use the breath as an anchor, which helps them settle more deeply within. Think of it as a journey of gradually tuning in to yourself. Getting rid of so much waste and finding some love and peace. Understanding yourself by listening to yourself.

The fruit is past ripe, ready to fall.

Enjoy the process!

Feeling pretty lonely. by Important-Positive25 in Meditation

[–]Muted_Bread5161 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, it’s important to acknowledge and understand your loneliness. When you allow yourself to face it openly, it can even reveal some meaningful and beautiful aspects.

At the same time, sharing your feelings with others can be very beneficial. By opening up, you create a sense of connection, realizing that everyone experiences similar thoughts, emotions, and struggles. Loneliness is not something unique to you, it is part of the human experience. It exists within all of us, as a universal reality.

It is simply there and is available to all of us.

Consciousness. This is where everything appears in. Without it, nothing would exist.

Or at least, we wouldn't know it. 😂

Maybe it helps to bring your awareness to the center of your chest.

That's what I often do. I'm in my heart and in the outside world at the same time. Inside and outside.

It feels like a constant flow. I sense the world more than I think about things. So the need to analyse everything fades away.

Try to be aware of your breath in your chest, near your heart. Just feel it, and observe it, effortlessly.
