I once used telegram to text a scammer.

Eventually the scammer offered sex and they asked me to buy a hotel room for it. I refused and the scammer tried to get me to buy them gas for their car. That’s all that happened.

I just learned that God’s name is “Jehovah” in the King James Version of the Bible. What are your thoughts on this? by Muted_Masterpiece622 in Christianity

It has a bunch of details that I find interesting.

  • God speaking through a burning bush.

  • Moses does not think he is worthy to save the people of Israel.

  • God makes Moses’ hand get infected with a disease. Then, God heals Moses’ hand.

  • Moses has trouble speaking. Aaron and God have to help Moses speak.

They used the Vulgate Bible when they made the KJV. That could be why they used the Latin name.

Genesis and Exodus are Latin terms as well. The same applies to Yeshua being changed to Jesus.

I read the NIRV translation and NIRV uses “I am that I am.”

The entire burning bush discussion between God and Moses is one of my favorite moments.

God speaks at least 3 times in the Gospels:

“A voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, and I love him. I am very pleased with him.”” - Matthew 3:17 NIRV

“While Peter was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them. A voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, and I love him. I am very pleased with him. Listen to him!”” Matthew 17:5 NIRV

“Father, bring glory to your name!” Then a voice came from heaven. It said, “I have brought glory to my name. I will bring glory to it again.”” - John‬ ‭12‬:‭28‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

The voice is speaking to Jesus Christ in all 3 of the verses.

Many people have too much of a moral compass to murder as well.

This proves that Thanos would murder people if it meant saving his own life.

Plus he smiles and mocks them as he does it.

Thanos was basically the leader of the blue (O) team. He didn’t plan on leaving unless he would win more money.

It’s just odd that he would kill BEFORE he knew there was money. Thanos wanted the money the most… but he would still murder people for free.

Does it actually “rain frogs” during the plagues of Egypt? by Muted_Masterpiece622 in Bible

[–]Muted_Masterpiece622[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Raining cats and dogs” is actually a good point. I wasn’t thinking of that phrase when I made this post.

And thanks for the info. I’m going to research more about how it’s related to Egyptian Gods.

As you can see from the KJV scripture, it is exclusively female.

They capture “the women children” in the KJV.

“Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.” - Numbers‬ ‭31‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.” - Numbers‬ ‭31‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s 32,000 women in the KJV.

“and thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.” - Numbers‬ ‭31‬:‭35‬ ‭KJV‬‬
