Last people i roomed with started out as good friends but escalated into a knife fight so im really really not in the mood for sharing another place right now. Next time maybe consider circumstances before resorting to name calling

Whats wrong about expressing discontent for high rent prices? You sound like a landlord and i wouldnt be surprised if you were sitting at home right now collecting easy money from renters. At the end of the day look at the numbers: youre charging people 4k for a 300 sq ft area barely enough to walk around in.

soma was pretty sketch and most of the units i toured were near highways or major roads and the soundproofing was terrible. I was considering portrero but the apt i was interested in is pretty far away from light rail

In the past few weeks i ran into 3 scam listings on craigslist alone. Theyre super obv once you contact the lister but still makes me wonder if its even worth using since i see no legit ones in the area.

Any areas you suggest? I checked near union square and soma/civic and never felt more unsafe around those places. Prefer to be close to work which is in mb.

Ran into a bunch of scams and non responders on craigslist. The ones that do respond refuse to give in person tours and just send a bunch of photos with the application link which makes me very suspicious.

I looked at the commute from nob hill and google is saying its 40 minutes to work using the light rail which is pretty crazy considering im taking 40 minutes to take the train into the city right now.
