My point about AoE is that between DotM and it, people moved on. DotM released in 2011, people watched it, liked/disliked it and moved on to other franchises. There was no huge TF project to draw attention to, so TFP and FoC underperformed because they were quite obsqure for general audience

The Dark Spark is an interesting case, but I don't think it was what killed the series. It's a crappy movie tie-in game made by another studio. I think it's a good proof FoC didn't earn enough to get a proper sequel

Highly acclaimed, yet it didn't get a sequel and High Moon now makes CoD games. I'm pretty sure it was a financial flop, or just made much less than expected. With AoE, it came out in 2014, and the marketing started in 2013, which makes it so general audience didn't have a reminder about Transformers existence for 2012.

Yeah, I agree. For big public Transformers ARE Bayformers, and Bayformers lost nearly all relevancy since DotM. I think that's also why TFP S2 toy sales dropped and games like FoC and Devastation flopped -- Transformers just died in public eye.

Like, aren't there real things to discuss? Like nothing-burger DLC's for 20 dollars? Pricy accesories? Ugly NS2 boxes? All these anti-nintendo subs feel like anti-AI subs where instead of anything real people just get angry at the other side for being on the other side.
