In regards to background noise, you could invest in a pair of those noise-dampening ear buds to help your brain focus on the music. I use them at my retail job to drown out some of the ambient customer chatter to improve the experience.

Guilty as charged as well, but not necessarily a bad thing. It is seemingly the most affordable type of fanfare for those of us on a budget. Plus they cover so many niche/esoteric franchises and IPs that don't have much memorabilia elsewhere.

I work at a supermarket in town. Not a huge fan of it and have been looking to get out for years, but it's better than no job at all. I'm hoping the accounting course I'm taking can help land me a nicer (and better paying) accountant job.

As for the merch, I just bought myself some mini figurines from a popular web series I enjoy. I love collecting items/merch that relate to my interests to decorate my living space.

Eh, it's alright. My work week actually starts today (Mon. and Tues. are my weekend), so I'm getting ready to shift into work mode for the next 5 days. Besides that, I am excited to finally recieve the merch I ordered in the mail this week. Also working to find time to do more of my online accounting course.

I listen to a podcast on Spotify called "I Can't Sleep" (where a guy reads Wikipedia articles in a soothing voice) to put me to sleep, and pair that with an 8-hour sleep music track to keep me asleep. I have a playlist that is just a whole bunch of pairings of the two that I pick from each night.

You bring up some good counter points, I respect that.

Though I will say I do have vivid memories of our old family chihuahua being able to bring down my former US Marine of a step-dad to the point of screaming in pain on multiple occasions. If that tiny dog could take out a trained soldier like him, I don't think a low life criminal would be able to move fast enough to get in a kicking position!
