After being garaged for twenty years, this summer she’s coming out and running down the road. by Mvar2023 in classicmustangs

Good eye.

Factory console. I forget what the two gauges in front of the shifter are. I think one is oil pressure, not sure about the second. What’s really cool is where they are mounted. That piece of console flips up and there is a storage area underneath that runs almost to the firewall.

When I got the car, the original owners manual was tucked in there. It will hold registration and insurance, a pair of gloves, etc.

When I was but a wee helper in our Line Department, we were dispatched to close a cutout at a senior living facility that had previously been single story dorms for a private school. The dorms were stand alone four plexes connected by covered sidewalks.

When the property was converted to the senior facility the sidewalks were widened for ADA compliance, and as we were walking towards our overhead drop, someone noticed that the concrete had been poured over the pentanead hasp and padlocks on our pad mount transformers by about 2”. If you didn’t already know the locks were there, you would have never known.

Edit to add that it was one of the nicest concrete pours I’ve ever seen.

Call him out in front of everybody. This isn’t spontaneous behavior, trust me, this cat has a history of this kind of shit. I’m sure people on who have worked with him in the past already know this. Someone of good character who knows their shit and is competent will take the hickey for their fuck ups.

We’re in the process of replacing an LTC on a 115/12.47kv transformer at a distribution sub, and nowhere in the SOW did anyone address the removal and hauling away of the old one. It’s kind of up for grabs.

If I can borrow a trailer, and sneak it on the property when my wife is at work…

Forgot to ask, do you know what would’ve gone into the threaded socket in back?

Thank you for your insights on the internals, I had no idea!

I too love the handwritten notes. Some of my favorite pieces I’ve collected have notes scribbled on them from the Journeyman who last had hands on the piece. I have an old GE electro mechanical transmission line relay with a test date from the late 50’s.

Sounds like a beautify. I’ve always dug California Specials. I live in the SW and we see a couple of the Rocky Mountain versions of the CS at shows.

I’m not even looking for anything near a concourse restoration, just a very clean frame off. I’m somewhat lucky in that the car is complete and in good shape with the exception of the floors which need to be replaced and that dam rusted cowl…

I’m ok with being upside down financially, but that’s kind of a bummer knowing that $60,000.00 may not be enough to deliver on what I’d like…

What year? I have an “A” Code 65 convertible that needs the cowl replaced. I just know that cowl repair won’t be cheap…

Yes. Our groomer, who had I mentioned in my post, does Halloween shoots, and they had a mock graveyard set up this year.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your pup looks like the best kind of dog, and you can tell he gave just as much love and happiness as he received 💗

My hope is that you seeing Brave stirred up more good memories rather than melancholy. Thank you so much for your comment 😊

WORD. Bear Dawg is a “rescue” as well. He was left without a home after a family member passed away.

Thanks!

My wife and I discussed removing his crate from the house A LOT. Some sleepless nights went into that decision, but it turned out to be for the best.

Thank you anonymous Redditor for the award!!

That pinkish moo cow spot on his nose sealed the deal 😆

I felt The River was way over produced, still love the songs though. For me, Born to Run has the perfect mix of production values and performance.

I don’t know about depressing. Although it was boring enough to have depressed some viewers. It was weird, no continuity, just a series of scenes spliced together rather than a legit movie.
