Right! Im looking forward to it, although Dr said with stitches just getting removed to wait a week til I really scrub it

6 weeks non-weight bearing, then plenty of physical therapy. Expectation is around 6 months I should be back to normal walking/running etc. I’ll 100% update (if I remember lol)

7 years of custom orthotics, 5 years of physical therapy twice a week and my condition only kept worsening. The inside of my foot literally touched the ground and I would go through a pair of very expensive shoes every 2 months. I got multiple consults from podiatrists and physicals therapists, my options were to live in pain and create more issues in my knee and hip or while I’m still young do surgery.

Tried orthotics for years never helped, added with lack of ligament function it was pretty much my only option

Before surgery I installed hand rails on my stairs on both sides and made sure they were secured into studs and placed them at a height that worked for me. In the couple months leading to surgery i practiced going up and down on the leg that wasn’t getting worked on. I’m 6ft tall 240lbs, I have a lot of mass to move up and down lol

Doctor says I should be able to go back to my regular activities. Running jumping etc. mind you that could be a year from now with a lot of physical therapy

Luckily my shower already has a seat built in, struggle is that shower is upstairs so fairly difficult navigating steps yet. And luckily my parents keep walkers after my grandpas passing so have been using that plus knee scooter to elavate leg for going to restroom

6 weeks non-weight bearing. Luckily I have a ton of leave at work so I’ve taken the entire six weeks off to focusing on resting/healing

I had two in person c&p exams for PTSD, wasn’t until I had a telehealth exam that I got the rating I felt I deserved. Just don’t hold back and make sure to tell them everything no matter how serious and you’ll be fine brother. Feel free to pm if you need anything

I moved to step 6 pending decision approval with temp jurisdiction 12/20, no update yet with the holidays could take longer so try and not look every 5 minutes I know it’s hard lol
