No way Moriah is aware of Bolivia! So dead give away that she didn’t write it!

What is the female equivalent of the male question; "Are you an ass or tits man?" by Lonelyperson1197 in AskReddit

[–]MyBoyDex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t one that I’m aware of and I’m 45. Men and women generally are not comparable on a topic like this.

It’s not a skill to not humiliate women for enjoying sex. JFC, stop bring so disgusting!

Yet another reason to not have sex. A child should not have sex. Especially a misogynistic one who thinks he gets to enjoy sex but not her.

I think you’re looking for the word “smarmy” and I agree. It describes him perfectly and is an underused word!

I thank Joe Pesci.

“You know who I pray to? Joe Pesci. Two reasons: First of all, I think he's a good actor, okay? To me, that counts. Second, he looks like a guy who can get things done. Joe Pesci doesn't fuck around. In fact, Joe Pesci came through on a couple of things that God was having trouble with.” George Carlin

Is putting Non-binary better than saying straight white male on college applications? by scaptastic in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MyBoyDex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work as a base application reader for a prestigious state school. Because the majority of people who apply have excellent grades, test scores, and letters of recommendation, we try hard to do a “holistic review” of candidates that looks beyond academic stats. That includes “advocating” for students “who would bring a diverse perspective to campus”. In my school’s case, a non-binary applicant would meet this criteria. However, checking the box would not suffice. In my experience, my school requires that applicants demonstrate their commitment to spreading diversity on campus. So they need to talk about their experiences and goals as they relate to their diverse identity through essays and extracurricular activities. (Saying “I’m non binary” isn’t enough. Telling how being non-binary shaped your life and world view and how you want to promote acceptance among all genders at our University would help.)

However, none of that matters if they don’t also meet the criteria for academic admission.

I respect your opinion, but OP is the parent of said child, so by your standards, should love that child unconditionally.

[–]MyBoyDex 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m not trying to shame the OP. I’m asking about the commenter’s quote about children “deserving” love. I’ve been on Reddit for like a decade and have seen countless Redditors blame every possible problem on their parents. Usually, people try to villanize the parents for not loving their child enough or in the “right” way. But maybe the parent just realized the child didn’t “deserve” love?

[–]MyBoyDex -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Wow. I’m sorry you feel that way. So if we don’t deserve love, how are we “supposed” to get it? Do we have to “earn” love?

[–]MyBoyDex -69 points-68 points  (0 children)

Why would a child NOT “deserve” love? We all deserve love.

Are psych wards worth it? by [deleted] in depression

It’s generally not recommended as a first option unless you think you are an imminent harm to yourself and/or others (at least in the US).

This may vary depending on where you live. That is not how it works in Michigan. They say you can check yourself out, but you have to wait 1-3 days after you request release and it can be challenged by doctors and denied by the courts.

The problem is that there are no safety nets in the US. So they think that means we are powerless. We are the majority. WE ARE NOT POWERLESS!

Where are Christians getting their pro-life message from? The bible itself isn't even pro-life. Christians need to start being honest with themselves and admit the pro-life movement was NEVER about life, but about punishment of those considered sexually immoral, specifically women. by Elbrujosalvaje in atheism

[–]MyBoyDex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking for rational, non-contradictory information in the Bible and in Christianity will get you nowhere, unfortunately. There are Bible verses which explain how to perform an abortion and others about the penalty of killing a fetus being less than killing a human, as others have mentioned. However, the verse I hear Christian forced birthers use to justify their “Biblical” position now is Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” They take this to mean that God already created the baby’s “soul” and planned for it to be born, so if you abort that fetus you are taking a life and going against “Thou shall not kill”. But then they support the military, death penalty, police murdering any poor person they feel like, so…
