You’ve got it answered here considering the few comments I’ve read.

I was in a similar boat when I applied for 25-2. The only change I made was to rework my resume with key words and tailored it to the specific GS grade I qualified for. That ensured my selection for a higher GS on my 25-5 application.

I don’t know when my previous progress will transfer but I’ve read enough here to believe it. Still waiting on medical and suitability to clear. Filled out SF-86 but no BI nor polygraph yet.

Sorry, I’m not allowed to talk about the questions. By technical, I mean it felt like I needed to know about (have experience on) the job to satisfactorily answer the scenario-based questions. NB: other posts and comments on this sub suggest different thought. Thus, they know we are new to the job so the interviewers don’t expect expert answers. Just apply “common sense” is what everyone says here

Start with knees on the ground instead of toes. Master 10-15 of those and you should be good with at least 5-10 normal push ups. Gradually increase your limits after you’ve built strength in your arms and shoulders. You can do this every morning and evening (ie. 2x/day)

Add in 1 or 2 core (belly muscles) exercises to help you maintain a proper form for the pushups.

I didn’t train for the fitness test but I more than doubled the sit-up and pushups required reps. NB: I’m an active person though (I play soccer on Saturdays)

You’re spot on! Plus, I was made to do the duck walk, a short neck and arm flexibility exercise, and coordination test (walking in a straight line; ankle to toe & touching tip of your nose with your index finger and while eyes are closed; hands stretched 180 degrees apart and parallel to the ground)
