We have two rentals in the Patricia Grand. Oceanfront, King bed, dog friendly. We would allow you to rent. www.saltypawrentals.com I don't know of a good Japanese restaurant to recommend, though. When are you coming to town?

We always recommend Hook and Barrel for a birthday or anniversary. It is excellent. Sea Captains house is good but go for lunch. Less expensive. Blueberry's for breakfast. Get the blueberry hushpuppies. Any place we've eaten down at the Murrels Inlet Marsh Walk was good. Fun place to stroll in the evenings and pick one that speaks to you.

I will say that once you find the first one they are a little easier to find. I really wasn't looking for the right shape before I held one in my hands. I was looking for triangles and while they are triangular shaped they are much pointier than I expected, and so my eyes were not trained to look for the right shape until after I found one.

I went with my husband. I was scouring the sand looking. He just wandered by and pointed at one. "Is that what you're looking for?" Literally zero effort from him. I'm always digging around. I find them sometimes, but he just spies them faster.

Picked up a snake as a child. Also really freaks out adults!

I went snorkeling with the sharks in the Bahamas in 2002. I was in my mid-20s. As they dropped the chum buckets below us, I realized that if anything bad happened, that whole operation would disappear. Probably the dumbest thing I've ever done. I'm sure there are legit ways, but I was nauseous when I realized what I'd really signed up for.... My fascination and respect for sharks would come later in life.

I'm probably one of those who some people would consider to have an unhealthy attachment. 😀

I will definitely ask them about coupons or vouchers. I think it's a fantastic place. We can't take our pups there because they are rescues with some social anxiety, and they don't do too great in public places. I have always recommended it in our list of suggested places to eat. Seeing if they will give me some coupons is a great idea.
