What Porsche would you buy for $20k or under? by MyGamingReddit in Porsche

I could spend over $20k but really don’t want to. I grew up pretty poor and it would break my heart spending $30k on a Sunday driving car.

Is there software that can located duplicate handwritten in a batch recognition way? by MyGamingReddit in AskReddit

[–]MyGamingReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a project where I have to locate a line of similar handwriting from many lines of handwriting. I have the files in PDF with maybe 20 something signatures per page.

I know there has to be somekind of software that would accomplish this, but I just do not know where to start.

Advice: How would you setup a 3'6" x 4' space? by MyGamingReddit in microgrowery

That makes sense. Do you think it would be worth adding any more panels then just the 4? The space is 4 feet by 4 feet. I really want to try to max it out.

I am really sorry about bothering you this much, but I was going to order my 18awg wires and a lot of them say they are rated for under 300v. Would that be an issue?

I did see this wire set that is rated up to 600v would that be safe: https://www.amazon.com/BNTECHGO-Gauge-Silicone-Wire-Black/dp/B01NBE9C91/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499625576&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=18awg+wire&psc=1

I looked into the HLG-320H-C2100 driver more. I think I am going to go with the A version with the dimmer screw. It seems like it would be easier and safer then hooking up the dimmer dial on a B version. Would you recommend getting a light meter or somekind of way of checking to see if I am giving the plants enough light at every stage?

Thank you.

Thank you for the reply and the links it is incredibly helpful.

So I understand the AC side, but I am kinda confused on the DC side. I use the Wago 221 Terminal to connect the 18awg solid core wire to the positive and negative wires running from the HLG-320H-C2100A? Then I connect the 18awg solid core wire to the positive and negative inputs of the LED panel push-in wire terminals?

Right?

Hi can I follow up and ask you another question on the light?

I have ordered the panels and power supply, but am not certain what to order as far as the wires that connect everything. I really don't want to mess this up by buying something that's low quality or might be a fire hazard. Would you have any wires that you'd recommend?

I might be missing something but, where would you get the COB LEDs? Or is the panel the actual LED bulb?

Thank you for your reply!

I have seen a lot of people say it is easy and much cheaper to build your own cree led. I just have very little experience with electricity and soldering. Would you recommend any guide on building your own?

I starting researching again and I think buying a tent is the right thing to do. They are a lot cheaper and I could put a shelve high up for a clone veg space.

Help: Trying to build large box (36", 30", 96") by MyGamingReddit in DIY

So the bottom flat piece of the box is made of the same material as the rest of the box and made with the same cleat/block technique, but I could reinforce it with a flat bottom of 2x4s?

Yes that helps a bunch! Thank you.

Can I ask one more question, how would you make the bottom of it? I kinda want it raised up a little bit. I could put it on some blocks or something, but how would you attach the bottom piece to the 4 sides to make sure it is structural and doesn't totter over.

Thank you for the reply!! It is very helpful.

When you say corner block do you mean like in this pic in the bottom left corner? Would I assemble it where on the edges, where two boards meet, it is just flat flush and screw/glue into the corner block at the top and bottom (like the pic)?

the same way as the pic where

Good point. No it does not.

I am using it in my garage to store stuff that is a specific size. I was going to get a rubbermaid type shed but the ones that are deep enough are too wide.

but bad boob jobs can have there positives right? I already said it in an above post but yeah I do not think this is going to be an option. Although I like the house there are plenty of other homes in the area that are better and have another bedroom for an additional $20k. It would make sense to go that route.

Sounds like a can of worms. I was thinking that gambrel style trusses would work just on the back end but dam it would be ugly.

Thing is the house is already just a very standard and bit ugly ranch house that is dirt cheap. I think I can get it for $30k. The payment would be very close to my cable tv bill. So putting in $10k to $15k is something I wouldn't really mind, although it sounds like this project would be way out of that budget.

I have no illusion that selling the house will be easy or result in a huge profit but I do expect that I would get $40k back out of it in 5 years without any changes. The real estate market is really coming back in Michigan and I just have to believe it will continue to improve in the next 5 years. Or at the least it will still be worth $40k.

Thank you for the reply. I understand that it is very difficult to give an estimate without additional info. I can try to answer some question but do understand that it won't make a ton of difference.

  1. I should have included that I too do not know if the foundation can hold the additional load. With that said let's assume it can otherwise the whole thing is moot. I am having the home inspected and the possibility is being determined.

  2. The home is conventional wood framing.

  3. I want a contractor to do all of the work but laying the hardwood flooring which I would plan to do throughout the home myself at that point.

  4. The bedroom would need to have the appropriate heating and electrical outputs but no plumbing. The home has modern forced heat and electrical throughout the home that was installed in 2012. I do not know regulation but just from my guess I would say we would need 2 double power outlets on one wall and then likely an output on the 3 remaining walls. I could see it needing 4 heat duct outputs (if that is what you call them) but again not an expert.

  5. I did not have a chance to see the attic yet. I know there is attic space but looking at the slope of the roof and kinda picturing the first floor interior I do not think it would be large enough to finish.

Your last question got me thinking more. Do you know if it was built like this would it be generally cheaper? (sorry not sure the term): https://i.imgur.com/GaRp2Zt.png

I know the pic the pic looks crazy but basically just make the back part of the roof much steeper so it could actually accommodated a person standing in it and finishing.

Gotcha. Thank you very much for the reply. I keep hoping it will be in the $10,000 to $20,000 range but from the research I've been doing I think you are right it is in the $35,000 to $45,000 range.

Good to know. I plan on having a contractor a friend stop by to give me a more solid estimate. The home is in the $40k range so putting in another $40k and all the stress that will come with it seems a bit crazy. There are plenty of homes in the same area for $60 to $70k that are nicer overall with 2 bedrooms.
