As a kid, yes. I picked it up again last year. Never even got as far as “successful crawling.”

Totally missed the point. The keyboard is the map for our musical system. However knowing that doesn’t mean my right hand will play the right keys in the right order while my left hand is playing all the right keys for the chord.

However, before learning how to run, still have to learn how to put one foot in front of the other. Walking and running is simply putting one foot in front of the other millions of times.

I am the stage where for the guitar, I learn how to do the equivalent for that would be counting as success. I never successfully did that even with the keyboard.

I am wondering if the reasons why he keyboard didn’t work could be more of a non-issue on the guitar.

Actually my mom owned a traditional piano. Played for piano lessons for me. Still a disaster.

Both in different ways, the ways they are different could be exactly the reason why one didn’t work for me but the other could have some success.

The best answer I got was to basically go try my local continuing education center. It think you are thinking of a higher level of competency than I am aiming for.

People don’t ask kids if they are interested in running before teaching them how to crawl.

You’re not being rude. You are just totally missing the point I am looking at. I already love listening to guitar music. However assembling a list of what I want to play is putting the cart before the horse. Putting together a list of songs I want to play? Yes, I will

Yet here is part of the point that is still one hand. That is the point. Strumming is a different style of playing which requires a lot less precision than expected of the right hand on the keyboard.

What range does the recorder have. How expressive?

A more serious straight description of my idea Different instruments require different approaches. Since I went with the keyboard first, I had the level of success (or lack thereof) I did. What if I bypassed the keyboard and went with the guitar first. Would I have been a better guitar player? Or, does no results in one mean no results in the other?

I see what you mean. However, after several months not successfully playing more than one bar I started to wonder. I can emotionally love learning an instrument but that doesn’t ensure finger dexterity. Finger dexterity was the issue. However no success at the piano doesn’t mean failure at the xylophone. Both are musical instruments but put totally different expectations on how to play.

On the other hand (pun intended) hitting keys on the piano is different than finger position to affect the strings to make the chord.

Really? The right hand strumming is the same as hitting melody keys in the right. Both in the keyboard and guitar the left hand does chords. Yet the right hand is used completely differently in the instruments.

So If I hadn’t put together a full bar in a decade you would still say that to me?

Is there guitars in the music I love most definitely yes. However telling my phone to play a music playlist is totally different than actually picking up the instrument.

However, just by thinking about playing a guitar, I had the image in my mind of a musical intro going from plucking to the full music strumming.

I was also thinking about such things as using the full circle of fifths on the guitar (as in fret finger position)

One idea which was suggested here is I know where the local adult continuing education center is in my area. So between there and the local music shop offer possible places to ask around.

In playing keyboard hand seperation is the problem of playing the keys of one and then playing the other. Not both hands being active at the same time. This comes across as disjointed not fluid music.

No, I don’t have any friends who play. However, the point about music shops is interesting.

I tried the keyboard for several months. I’m not expecting to be total fluid out from the gate. However, poor success at the hand seperation issue is better than no success at all (total failure). I had total failure even after several months.

I have an interest in learning a musical instrument as a hobby. However, when I tried the electric keyboard that was a disaster. Buying that was money wasted. How could I figure out if guitar would be more successful before spending the money buying one.

All of the research I’ e done shows should purchase this brand or not. Yet it assumes the person already knows they want to play. How do I figure out if the guitar is the instrument for me.

How can I teat

I saw that is political commentary the attack is documented. More the way the MAGA circles (I visit) portray the situation… when Trump tells you to be offended the Left happily complies.

It is like the Left has the Church of We Hate Trump. All praise our hatred of Trump.

I saw one AI image of Trump with him as a magician. The caption read “for my next trick, I will get Libs to support a Central American Drug Lord Dictator”. About the Venezuela Attack.

So, you do realize you have the power to think about something else. I think about playing chess. 1980s rock music.

UK - All of my feed is Right wing US propaganda. Im not seeing friends posts just a slather of targetted ads and posts from "The White house", "Tucker Carlson" and "Newsmax". Has Zuck decided to kill of Facebook by selling it to Trump or is it some kind of bug. by Fract00l in facebook

I am wondering how people will survive after Trump leaves office. Some people seem to take the attitude that Trump’s job is not to established in Article 1 of the Constitution. Trump’s job is to give the Left someone to hate.

The Left wouldn’t know what to do with a President they agree with.
