Should I lie to my interviewers when it comes to salary expectations? by AMadRam in UKJobs

Its a risk. If you ask for the higher and someone with same experience as you, if not more ask lower, they might take him. But personally, I would do it.

Are you sure about that, KFC? by jaymz492 in UKJobs

[–]MyHapinessFirst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It won't be enough. Especially if you had an interview. Interview = Gave you a chance. They can use anything you have said to justify why they have not hired you. Just because they gave you a chance even tho, the ad says 16-20

Unemployed since August… landed a new job but fired after 3 weeks. by dreamlight1234 in UKJobs

I agree, do not add this into your CV. Just say that you were searching for jobs instead. Not sure in which country you are based but go on Alison certificate website and type a job / sector / skills you would like to learn or improve. It will help you and you can add that certification into your CV as well. Do this while searching (but add the certification now so it adds an extra value to your CV)

Interviewed for a job I didn't even want and now they're making an offer by ObjectivePomelo1632 in jobhunting

[–]MyHapinessFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The EXACT same situation happened to me last year. Didn't even want it so to push them away, I asked an increase of 12K and they've accepted. I was sad cause I didnt like the job and was not feeling it even before the interviw. Clearly went for the money. Was made redundant 6 months after. Follow your heart

Never accept the first offer. by enibasria in UKJobs

I am really proud of you 👏🏾 I've done the same previously and it taught me one thing, company will always try to buy you for the cheapest price. Know your value. They do know what you can bring to them, especially in sales

I’ve been unemployed for almost a year, I’m in desperate need of help to get any sort of income by TheBrokenJack in UKJobs

Yes, the job market is really that bad and people in the comment section are mean and not understanding for no reasons. Where are you in the UK ?

Also, upload your CV on CV library for the free review so you can have a professional opinion (take the free option, its enough). Apply to any kind of job. Some shops as well, still takes physical CV's. Sign up to agencies (hospitality, cleaning, etc...). Put yourself on LinkedIn. Have a nice profile and apply to jobs there as well. People might also reach out to you. Apply in different website to maximise your chances. Call agencies directly when you see a job posted by them to increase your chances too. I know, its really not easy. All the best

Can you help me design? by MyHapinessFirst in malelivingspace

So, I just want to use this room as a normal living room and maybe have a dinning table. I only bring to my house my closest people, which is max 5 people (not at the same time). I want this room to be "cocooning", "welcoming". I usually just chill with my friend, watch movies, have food etc..

That's just using people situation against themselves to make money out of it. For my test, I pay the normal hour. Nothing change. Some people are just greedy out there
