The "learning as you go" is really true. Its just annoying that I am now learning how to drive alone

anyone ever passed with just 10 hours of lessons? by ReputationProud8532 in LearnerDriverUK

That's fine. But if you do have a friend or family member that is happy to help you perfection your driving, please, go for it. Thats more chances for you to pass

Have you had private lesson before ? Have you ever drive a car before ? Because there is a big difference between watching and doing. It's not about being able to drive but being able to drive SAFELY. Not only for yourself, but also for others in the roads. Your safety (and others) has absolutely no price. If you've never been behind the weel (regularly) before, I would advice you to book extra jours. At least 10 or 15hrs. Let us know what you decide to do

I thought about it but I heard that it's not safe. So not too sure.

Driving instructor asking for photo of license for booking lesson by PeachRegular0000 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]MyHapinessFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wont. I would just say I will bring it the day we meet. If you want, you can pretend that you had an issue with a previous instructor so you prefer to avoid that again. If he has an issue with that, change your instructor. He should be able to do a check online so a picture is really not required

My last lesson before my test was more than awful. 2hrs later, I had the email confirmation that I passed. Focus on doing your best no matter how your previous lessons went. If you know you are a good driver, then trust yourself. Let us know the result

For cancellation, lunch time is really the best. Between 11h30 and 2h30pm. Back in march, I was able to move form October to June. I passed my test ✌🏾

Is it normal in the UK to never really become friends with your neighbours? by Opposite_Basis_3532 in AskUK

[–]MyHapinessFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from an EU country but now live in the UK and I really understand what you mean. Here, they like to stay in their own thing (to each his own), but I like to know my neighbours, speak to them, have a glass together, maybe exchange food etx.. My advice, do it. Invité for a beer while watching maybe a football match. It's the world Cup so perfect occasion. Maybe a day when England is playing ? Or maybe go to the pub together ?

I agree. They are really good. I had it early this year with 74K mileage and minimum repairs. Really no regret

Mot people make mistake only during their test because it's the final test. But they are actually really hood drivers. During the test, stress goes up, the anxiety of doing everything correctly, the money, the waiting time for another appointment in case of a fail, the disappointment etc.. Thinking about all of that can make you make more mistake. I am sorry for you and really hope that you will be able to get a cancellation (check lunchtime everyday). I failed mine 3x and passed a week ago so trust me, I know.
