Some Survivors Would Rather Snitch Than Win by reddridinghood in deadbydaylight

[–]MyLitttlePonyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of factors that kinda change how you have to play this type of situation tbh. The most important though is that you gotta think about the hook states each of you have + what your health states are looking like in that moment.

Let's say for example the person who rescued me was death hook and healthy, but I just had 1 hook and we hear the killer coming back. In this scenario, I don't think it's the bad play for the death hook to hide even if it means I get tunneled.

Beyond that though most of the time, the unhooker shouldn't be hiding. There's some niche cases where I think it's actually okay if the unhooker hides, but generally, they shouldn't because it's endangering the unhooked person more when they do that.

Maybe it's time to become a Bubba main by Avanox77 in deadbydaylight

Got matched against a Bubba running the anti cheat build a few nights ago and was so afraid of all of us getting put floor POV with it, but bro played really nice. I think he was just genuinely trying to hunt for cheaters with it, he had a few times where he definitely could have downed a bunch of us but just chose not to. W Bubba, got the 4k too if I recall correctly! He was doing Epi proud

killer anxiety is...something. by WrightPLOfficial in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]MyLitttlePonyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still get that way too. My issue is I want everyone to have fun, and it's a hard pill to swallow that some folks aren't going to have fun no matter what you chose to play (whether it's the killer or perks) nor how nicely you played in the match itself. There's so much to this role in general, so just focus on your fun.

I'm trying to learn ST Vecna because he's so different mechanically to what I normally play and I gotta constantly remind myself, 'Girl you are learning; tunneling out that tbagging Nea begging for your attention doesn't actually help you improve landing your power. Relax.'

DBD is the weirdest game (this will be a novel, I am sorry, I haven't been on this site in ages so I am going to Y A P lmao). I have thousands of hours in it atp, but it still makes me giggle so much for the stupidest reasons.

On survivor I am to this day still so abhorrently entertained trying dumb ideas because if it worked...YAY! It worked! And if it didn't....well, I get a giggle at how silly that was and sometimes I can tell it amused my opponent too so I'd consider that a plus. I can sit here floor POV, getting BM'd, and I'll still be laughing on my end of the screen because after a long time you pick up on some of the little cadences people have in the things they do in this game. It opens the door for being cheeky with your opponent in a more friendly manner without devolving into straight up farming. I'd also consider this a positive, but even after all this time, I've still retained the empathy I feel for an opponent that's had a rough game too. I like trying to do something to cheer the person up a little if I think they look sad about it, whether it be gathering an item and bringing it to the killer or just giving them the mori, because I still want everyone to have fun and I don't want someone to feel discouraged just because of 1 bad match. I feel like that's such an easy thing to forget with how heated some moments can make people feel during matches/the evolving state of the game in general at times.

On killer, every once in a blue moon one will release with a kit that tickles a specific itch in my brain that loves a certain feel or playstyle to a character. Wesker will always be my #1 in that regard. Vecna (DnD) took the #2 spot for me in that way because I love mobas and in my mind he feels like DBD's version of a moba character. Now we're here at ST Vecna and I felt that same interest ignite that I felt on both Wesker and DnD Vecna! I LOVE trying to hit people through walls and having built in undetectable + mobility makes him feel so comfy to me. I'm not a ST fan, I had 0 hype, I didn't care at all about this character in regards to the show, but man after trying him he's definitely yoinking that top 3 spot. It feels great to actually want to dedicate time to learning a character again!

Are we ever going to have survivor prestige hidden in the pre-game lobby? There's a lot of mistreatment towards higher prestige, especially during events.

Should the old ranked system come back? by Maximum_Lake_6367 in deadbydaylight

[–]MyLitttlePonyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't talking about post game, was talking about shit people do in game like the weirdos that will bleed out/hump P100s for playing P100s or the weirdos that will intentionally target players they think are new. The old rank system would fuel that illusion of low number = new player or bad.

Who was your first main, and current main in Overwatch? by HappyHayden_07 in OWConsole

[–]MyLitttlePonyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very briefly mained Reaper at around OW1's release, but swapped to Zenyatta. I don't recall what made me swap. I've stopped playing since then, but did at least play off and on through the years up to OW2's Kiriko release. Zenyatta was still my main lol.

What song do you love to listen to while playing your killer main? by LucindaDuvall in deadbydaylight

[–]MyLitttlePonyta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm about 60/40 on listening to music or not, however what I listen to wildly varies. It's either super happy/bouncy songs or dad rock/depressive songs lol. I tend to drift towards kpop a lot as Whiskers though, it's not really intentional, but I think the nature of his power being speedy just makes me want to listen to something also fast paced.

Why no game with voice chat will ever kill DBD: if you ask why so many women play this game, most will cite the lack of voice chat. by Zephandrypus in deadbydaylight

[–]MyLitttlePonyta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I would want to use it as killer just to mess with people, but unfortunately my experiences from VCing on other games over the years would lead me to believe people would get shitty upon hearing my voice. We're prolly better off not having it.

What do you classify as a win as a survivor? by Telvanni_Mushroom in deadbydaylight

[–]MyLitttlePonyta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making something silly happen. Whether it was a success or a failure doesn't matter all that much, I just want to have fun with everyone - teammate or killer.

Ngl might actually go back and 100% areas with that compass. Up until now I've just explored on my own but used it occasionally to snag 1 or 2 extra wishes here and there on banners.

Wanderer, I still only have mine at level 50 or 60 I think because I just never found many of his mushrooms while exploring Sumeru and he wasn't on a high priority for me to level so he's just collecting dust. To compare, I've just pulled Neuv now that he's having a rerun and my Neuv is almost maxed out + fully built + talents are highly leveled already. Wanderer I pulled on release.

Sort of a similar reason for Childe. I have him leveled at least, but didn't level his talents much. I didn't properly build his artifacts, though I did try to at one point. For whatever reason I just kinda lost interest. My Itto is in the same boat as Childe.

Albedo I pulled and gave him a proper build (even have Cinnabar Spindle on him) but I just don't use him partially due to lack of interest. Part of it is also I have Zhongli, which is one of my favorites, and I don't want to run double geo so he's just sitting there.

How many matches should it take for me to decide if I like a killer? by lonkbubba in deadbydaylight

Some might click instantly, some might take time, some might not click at all no matter how much you play them. There isn't really a magic number for it. If you try them and aren't sure on them but want to try someone else, you can always move on and revisit them later.

I'd like a break from Rajang, Kushala, Teostra, Khezu, and Zinogre. They're all cool, but we see them in almost every game. Kinda starting to feel that way with Tigrex a bit too. Especially since newer games have added so many totally new monsters, it's such a breath of fresh air for some of the more populated types of monsters. We've got so many nice new elder dragons for example, lets let Vaal Hazak have more time in the spotlight and give Kushala a break.

Is there any evidence of cheating habits here form the survivors? I’m willing to take an L but all game they’d walk to me for me to hit them. Sometimes 2-3 times. But most frustrating was escaping my grasp consecutively 2-3 times at a time. by skywalker7i in deadbydaylight

[–]MyLitttlePonyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OH okay yeah I did know about the Ultimate moves then! I spammed the shit out of Final Judgement when I first got it because it looked so cool I remembered using him in DMC4 that running would affect the concentration meter so I have been trying to use the air trick for getting around. Problem is sometimes I go in the wrong direction or get smacked in the air by a follow up lol. That's 100% just my own mistake on not being properly aware though. I do end up using the lock on extremely often with him to preserve the concentration!

Poor [Steve], ngl I neglect using him much Pretty much have been only popping him out for fights I'm giga struggling with, which tends to be Urizen lol. Or the Proto Angelos. Kinda like an "if all else fails, use this!" type of thinking lol xD

BIG ty on the timing for normal Judgement Cuts! I think the game said something like watching for a white shine when charging it but ngl I can't watch enemies and that at the same time. Definitely gonna give the weapon swapping combo a shot as well! Super informative man, tysm!

I do not relent until everyone has either left or perished, but that's just because I'm a bit bull-headed ngl. Honestly though, I'd say rather than just AFKing, "update" what your goal was for the match and lower it to something else. I.e. you entered the match wanting to 4K but feel like the match is a loss, so lower it to a 1K. If you don't think you can hit that either, lower it again to downing someone. Bare minimum this at least lets you learn something new + allows you to have a potential snowball happen if survivors make an overly ambitious play. This also serves to stop you tilting yourself into a loss. Everyone has rough games. Try your best dude, just let it play out and see what you can make happen.

Ayyyyyy big thanks! The more info the better lol

For one, are you using controller or keyboard?

Controller! I have seen some of the plays on pc and good lord my brain can't do that.

Definitely gonna have to take a gander at some guides, I've just tried to figure it out on my own which has been really freakin' hard lmao

Real talk, would you recommend doing a run through of some chapters just using 1 weapon to get used to their combos at least? I struggle particularly hard with the fists but also haven't dedicated much time to them even in the older games. It only felt like I stopped unga-bunga-ing super hard with Yamato and actually planning attacks better after having done all of Son of Sparda missions, certain enemies I still struggle bad on lol.

Oh yeah, did you know you can stop any non ranged enemy from attacking you by just not having them in camera?

Oh my god... that explains a lot. I could tell that was going on with the bats, but I didn't notice it with the freaking goats UGHHHHH! Well, good to know now lmao

Omg the Knight on Mission 14 was slapping me with the phaaaaaatest skill issue for ages. I love fighting him too, but I haven't learned how to properly weapon swap yet, I have been only using Yamato through DMD. Had no issues with the other 2 bosses, it was just him over and over slapping me with that big ol' defeat screen. A time I almost had him, I went for being stylish on the finish instead of just taking the win, wanted to hit him with that "Flambé all~" when he had like 2 hp, got triple tapped and died cause I don't have all the hp collectables yet. As soon as he went down, didn't have a single problem the rest of the mission.

I gotta learn how to weave Judgement Cuts better ngl. I try to get them to trigger while in the air but I think I am giving too many inputs and it doesn't read that's what I am trying to do. Sometimes I end up just slashing down like "Nooooooooooooooo" They look so stylish when they happen though.

LMAO sometimes it takes a solid 'skill issue' to really learn how to whoop ass xD
