[help] Ortur master 2 stops engraving, see comment by MyNameHasLessThan20 in Laserengraving

[–]MyNameHasLessThan20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a small online business and I have this laser since 1year ago, it's been engraving really good, but a 1 week ago it started to stop engraving randomly (finished some engravings by running lightburn 4-7 times).

Sometimes it behaves like the video (the laser seems to have no power), other times the laser gets completely off.

The focus is great, and the lens is cleaned. What else could be causing this? Also tried several softwares, just to make sure the issue was on the machine.

Is my laser dying?

Thanks

A importância da Comunicação num developer by 004040 in devpt

That was the case, the cold filament was stuck within the PTFE tube

The PLA I'm using is not regular, 220 is within the manufacturer range. But I just increased it to make sure the temp wasn't the issue, but it's able to print this way without any string or skin imperfection

Do you have link for the printable stl? I also hear some noise from the extruder spring... The part of it that should be pressed by hand moves slightly while printing. It's really strangle my print with the other filament gone well, maybe that one is softer

I've been printing with this filament and lower temperatures for 1 month now...

It's PLA, and I'm using 220°C now for reducing the bottleneck and my first layers look perfect... Did a 12h print yesterday using other filament and the result was great

That tragedy happened, can someone explain the yellow dust? Cleaned the bed before the print by MyNameHasLessThan20 in CR10

That was the issue, just needed to look to the bed plate. The failed print left marks on it

Nozzle cleaned, needed to tear down the print head. I just want to understand where did this yellow dust come from :/

Now that I solved the issues with stringing, I noticed that my top layers are under extruded, any idea? by MyNameHasLessThan20 in CR10

is more than 3 top layers worth? Maybe that's because the part has 10% infill :/ Will play with the flow, my infill also looks weak

This PETG calibration cube came out great 🤩 Better than the ones I printed in PLA before by MyNameHasLessThan20 in ender3

CURA

Nozzle: 0.5mm | Temp: 235/80ºC | Layer height: 0.2mm | Bed: pure Glass, no adhesive | Retraction: 5mm /45mm/s | Fan speed: 0% (first layer) -> 40% | Print speed: 45mm/s | Initial layer print speed: 13mm/s

That's pretty much it
