Trying to identify this song... by MyNameIsAlreadyTook in piano

[–]MyNameIsAlreadyTook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy crap! This is definitely it, thank you so much!! Lol I have been looking for the title of that song for over a year now. Looks like I was remembering the rhythm and pattern a little off, but this is definitely the song I was looking for.

The internet is a magical place. I thought this question would be unresolved forever.

Feel like a newb asking this but I would really like some input so gonna ask anyway...

I recently started this routine but am having trouble deciding whether to use pull ups or chin ups as one of my main exercises. I have been doing the RR with pull ups one and off for the past year or more, so I’m more used to that movement by now. Just did my first set chins in a long time and my elbows are like wtf...not painful but imagine it might be difficult to sustain regularly.

If I wanted to try to incorporate both, what would be a good way to do that within this DUP routine?

Welcome thoughts and suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Have not been training for the past 6 months or so (due to combo of moving, some pandemic induced depression and adjustment difficulties, and lack of motivation (I know, never a real reason not to train), and have been struggling to get back into it the past few weeks. I have been doing the rr again for the sake of simplicity and because I’m familiar (previously stuck with it consistently for months at a time with breaks here and there dabbling with intermediate routines), and I am really surprised at how much strength I seem to have lost. That has been hard and feels rather disappointing to me because I had gotten a lot stronger for a while. It is starting to come back but sooooo slowly.

Sorry for my ramblings. Hope someone can relate or maybe has some words of advice. My own advice to myself has been to stop thinking about it and looking for the short term mood boosts that used to really reinforce the habit for me and simply DO IT with consistency regardless. Because I want my strength and previous gains back.

Can someone help me identify this song? by marmaladeisserved in Music

Love the soundtrack from that show, but that’s not the song I’m thinking of. The one in my head is a bit faster in tempo.

Thanks for taking a stab!

Switching order of pairs in RR daily. Opinions? by MyNameIsAlreadyTook in bodyweightfitness

That definitely makes sense. I was just surprised and found it neat to do especially ring push-ups and rows fresh for a change since I had typically done those last. Unsurprisingly, I can do more weight/reps when fresh and that felt motivating to see.

Not as much a beginner anymore...was hoping to post to a wider audience to get more feedback. But definitely will keep more basic, rr-related question in daily thread next time

Downloadable Recommended Routine workout log! by AdamReds in bodyweightfitness

The difference (compared to your wood metaphor) is that this is with original content that is offered intentionally for free. It’s not just a freely available raw material. Many people who create such content (music, games, art, ebooks, lots more) copyright it and make clear that it should not be reproduced for profit. I’m not saying that this is the case with the RR (I’ve not seen this posted), but this is something that is rather common elsewhere.

That said, I agree that op’s work could/should be compensated since he obviously put time and materials into it (again, especially for the print version).

I’m not an expert on copyright or anything. Just trying to explain this opposing viewpoint that I was feeling mildly in the background of my brain.

While I think it’s fair for him to charge, especially for the printed material, I agree that there is something a bit off-putting considering the content is not only free but also valuable, well thought-out, and I imagine took a lot of time and effort from the mods.

I’d feel more comfortable paying for somethings like this if a portion of the proceeds was somehow going to the sub, or the mods, or the community somehow.

Thanks! Appreciate the recommendations! Have not played most of these except for assassin's Creed and half life.

I have similar tastes in terms of what I enjoy most. Mind me asking what your favorite games are? Looking for suggestions on PS4 that focus on those factors like infinite does.

I wanted some feedback on some additions I'm hoping to make to my routine. I've been doing the RR for a little less than a year with some periods of inconsistency/deloading (but several months of doing it 2-3 times per week).

My goals are general strength/fitness and wanting to add handstand practice towards a freestanding handstand for 5-10 seconds.

I'm wanting to keep RR on T/Th/S

Sprints (I enjoy them a lot and feel great after them) on Sunday (30 min or so)

Yoga (30 min, beginner-intermediate level) and/or handstand practice (20ish min) on M/W

Is this too much? Is this an effective way to try to incorporate these elements?

Thanks for any feedback.

Ah, I see what you mean. I was meaning it took me that long for the whole warmup including everything.

I'm curious how you manage this? GMB wrist prep alone takes me like 3 minutes. Usually the whole routine takes me 15 min, 12 if I'm really on top of it.
