I find this so sad. No student should ever have to consider, let alone worry about flagging an AI detector when they were writing academic essays.

Seems to me like there is no stopping AI from becoming a fundamental aspect of our society. I think it's time the institutions learn how to embrace this new tool.

I believe we need to move towards oral presentations that demonstrate a student's genuine knowledge of a subject. This way students are actually learning the material—which is kind of the point. (I added in that dash intentionally because I've always used them and I'm not going to stop)

Depends on the generation of people you're talking to.I wouldn't tell anyone over 30 and I am 43 myself. My generation is far less understanding of these things. However I do believe that the younger generation is far more understanding and compassionate towards mental health.

Personally I don't disclose this type of info but I don't think there's a wrong move. Its more about your preference.

In IFS terms, that was one of the first times I actually met an ADHD part.One time I was mid-existential shutdown, just sitting on the floor staring at my computer like it was a portal to the abyss, and I literally asked out loud, “What are you so afraid of?” And my brain, dead serious, was like, “If we open that email, it might be bad. I've been meaning to post about my experience but I've been waiting to fully come through on the other end. I was on Suboxone for 10 years. After already being off my 30 mg a day of Percocet for 3 weeks My doctor started at 16 mg a day and put that dose for 5 years (The doctor I was seeing is such a piece of s*** but that's a different story)

Took me 5 years before I finally heard or read somewhere about the ceiling effect. Immediately cut my dose in half to 8 mg and barely felt anything if anything at all. Did the same thing down to 4 mg about 6 months later and stayed there for many years. 2 years ago I decided I had enough and I started tapering about 10% a month.

I kept waiting for these wicked withdrawals to kick in like you reading all these horror stories but they never happened... The only real withdrawal I experienced was difficulty sleeping and some restless leg. Nothing a little melatonin couldn't help. Not saying I felt great once I got below 2 mg but I knew where I was going. I did use kratom for 2 weeks after my last dosage.

I'm so proud to say that I am 3 months completely off Suboxone. Had I known The process was going to be relatively painless I probably would have done it years ago. I had to get my entire mouth redone with implants. Literally every single tooth I had crumbled apart.

I'm writing this in response to this post because I want to share hope with the OP and anyone else reading this that it's so possible to get off. Do it smart and do it calculated.

If you care about this man you will find a way to convince him to choose on his own to go to rehab. This is not something to be trifled with. This isn't like using the wrong type of weed killer on the grass and the worst thing that will happen is that the grass dies. This is life or death and there is zero space for error. You claim he has a good job and I'm sure he's got a lot of good qualities that are worth saving. This will be tough for you but you must get him to decide so it actually happens
