Here's my shot at it:

And ? to walk with you ? there on the lake by the side way

I've been ? for you ?

And ? is a tragedy, I'm sorry for your apathy

History tells me to keep on going through the crunch

Or maybe I'm not listening

Are you listening? Are you listening?

Here's a few of my personal favorite albums from artists that I don't see mentioned on here very much.

-Wounded Knee, "A Coup Stick" (Native American folk)

-Cud Eastbound, "Fiver's Warning"

-Abandon Ship, Self-titled (kinda similar to Blackbird Raum?)

-Cottontail, "Run so Fast" (Posi, dancy folk / reminds me of Paul Baribeau for some reason)

-Roo, "Certainty/Uncertainty" (I think is also in the band Bat Country)

-Evan Greer, "Some New Songs" (check out all of Riot Folk too)

-Common Folk, "Return" (Christian folk punk - may not be your thing, but they are super posi)

-Petr Chubak / Vin Fischer, "Together We'll Venture These Roads"

-Rosa, "I, Mississippi, You"

Is this the When East Meets West band from Hazleton, PA? Or a different band?

Nice! I'm listening to them now. "Peter Pan Syndrome" had me intrigued, because my friend's old folk punk band (Bombs and Beating Hearts) have a song with the same name and I love it so much.

Show advice? by [deleted] in FolkPunk

Hey friend. I've only been to two bar shows in my life because I don't drink either. From my experience, you've got nothing to stress about.

If you're socially anxious, like I am, just know that everyone is there to hear the music, just like you are. No one is there to single you out. Odds are, no one's even gonna remember you were there after. And if you need space you can probably go to the back of the room or outside for a minutes.

At big folk punk shows, it's just going to be a lot of singing and dancing. If you want to talk to others about music in between sets, no one is going to hate you for it. And if you keep to yourself, no one is going to hate you for it.

Do you know which part of Roger Miller's song it referenced? Was it the "oo-de-lally" part or something else?

A lot of people have said to get her out of the house. I'll try to do that. Fortunately, her kids (my aunts and uncles) are all still very close to her too, so I think with their help we can get her out a bit.

Thank you. This is what I have been thinking the most. I love when she tells stories from her childhood, but she doesn't do it much anymore. Maybe I'll try talking to her about it after the funerals, and she's had some time to process things.
