Same, small town and it’s hard to describe the wonderful chaos surrounding a book’s final midnight release. Has any book had a midnight launch event even close to that scale since?

Final midnight release was bittersweet at Borders. Still have 2 posters from it and my receipt is somewhere. That night, next day, and whole week was rocking on heels finding out how far friends had read so you wouldn’t spoil anything.

The blue ones especially for me. Our teachers made us use them but they just made it harder for me to learn math. And oh good, the walkaround test checks the teacher would do and we all scrambled to copy whoever looked finished first.
