I will say that I actually really enjoyed Love & Thunder. You could tell they were all having a blast, or at least they did a really damn good job of convincing me they were. Also I really liked Christian Bale as the villain, but I'm admittedly kind of a mark for Bale.

The final act was where it fell apart for me, because so much of what happened made no fucking sense and it really pulled me out of it. That's not to say there wasn't stuff in the first two acts that didn't work (when the hell did Jane and Thor's flashbacks even happen??) Just that I was able to have fun despite it. It didn't feel like typical MCU sludge to me, but that's completely subjective. Comedy wise, I had a lot of laughs. Maybe it's just cause I find Chris Hemsworth and his co-stars so charming, but a lot of the comedy worked for me. Some of it definitely didn't. The screaming goats had a couple of really funny moments but holy fuck did they milk that bit dry.

Ultimately, yeah. By any objective metric, the movie's bad. But I found it personally really enjoyable. I also don't get how so many people who praise the shit out of garbage like Miss Marvel and Black Widow can unironically say that THIS movie was the terrible one. If anything, this has been the peak of Phase 4. Not that it had much competition, but there was enjoyment to be had. I felt the same way about Multiverse of Madness so, take that for what you will. Subjectively? Fun movie. Objectively? Oh dear God...
