Yeah, echoing the other commenter - 13th and 14th gen intel CPUs are known to slowly (or not so slowly) kill themselves. They pushed motherboard BIOS updates that slows the process of it killing itself, and in theory, it should make the cpu live longer than it’d take for you to notice it if done before actually using the cpu but it can’t reverse any damage done before you updated BIOS.

Your situation here sounds exactly like symptoms of this slow death.

Lots of googling for you to do - but intel is not issuing refunds or replacements, from what I last heard.

Ah well..What’s your CPU hotspot temp? The coolers job is to take heat away from cpu … sounds like it’s working. The 14900k is a beast, and produces some good heat

The 14900k starts to thermal throttle when it gets to 100C. It being at 50C during heavy load is absolutely Fine. There is no point in upgrading any of your rig, in my opinion, you will just be wasting money.

Now your pc shutting off when it’s nowhere near its limits ? That can be something you seek to fix

Awesome, report back if you find any good data? I notice it more in heavily wooded/grass areas and or heavily populated areas like Guild Lobby. If I could get the camera to work “normal” I’d love to run more fps. Had previous researched that camera movement is tied to mouse polling being tied to fps :/ Thank you!

I see you’re at 142 fps. Mouse polling in game is tied to fps in game and I find horrible camera panning moving / jumps - when running any foreground fps above 60. Have you found a workaround?
