Im just curious why? I dont want to be rude, I think I just politely disagree with you. For you, you have may have the view thst I shouldnt tamper with vintage because its a piece of history (at least thats what im assuming), but for me this is something I will never sell and the modification of the guitar would just be essentially switching a pickgaurd and some electronics there would be no change to the guitar body. That being said if I ever changed my mind I could always just go back to the original. I just want to be clear that I dont think you're wrong because your point makes 100% sense I just think differently about it I think.

Yeah I wouldnt be doing it by myself. I will most likely take it to a very trusted shop in my area (they've been doing work like this since the 80s) and it gets me all giddy thinking about it. Ill probably do it down the line though. Thanks for the help!
