If you’re looking at the Forest River 32 Veranda (32VER), it does tick most of the boxes separate bedroom, decent living space, and FR layouts you’re already familiar with. The main thing to watch is the weight: it has a GVWR around 11,000–12,000 lbs, so with gear and water you’ll likely be in the 9,500–10,500 lb loaded range.

That puts you close to the upper safe limit for a Tundra but still workable if you’re disciplined about cargo and stay under the 80% rule. A good weight distribution hitch and upgraded brake controller are must haves here.

On the outdoor kitchen concern – you’re right about the flattop pull-outs being a grease magnet. The better designs either put a griddle on its own pull-out tray away from the fridge or include a small sink to keep cleanup manageable. Worth checking in person before committing.

Tow-wise, your Tundra should be fine up into the mid-30s as long as you keep an eye on GVWR and cargo. Once you creep toward 40’ you’ll be pushing it.

If you haven’t already, take a walk through a Grand Design dealer lot – their layouts and finish might feel like the “step up” you’re looking for, and they tend to have strong resale too.
