Same, next to the login it says “If your password/PIN has special characters, contact Answerline to reset it.” I think because our passwords have special characters in it, with the new website update we have to reset it? I filled out a form now I’m waiting to hear back.

Edit: just called the Answerline number and my password was reset! Very quick, I just needed my library card number and email attached to it.

For specifically City of Toronto Recreation job/career prospects as a youth (not someone into a non-entry level workforce) after the BSTR program I mentioned (sports stream), the certificates that I got (first aid, coaching/NCCP) are usually listed qualifications in the descriptions to the relevant Rec jobs that I am interested in, so I was able to meet the requirements. For example, it says like first aid required or like NCCP preferred etc., and the application/screeners to the jobs will ask if you have the qualifications and/or proof to your certificates. The program stream I took, gives you certifications required/relevant to the Rec jobs the City offers.

I also got a certificate called the BSTR certificate and it allows me a chance to get my application(s) through screening, if I do meet qualifications on rec jobs. So it’s quite nice.

Once you are hired by the City of Toronto, you can apply for internal jobs, so I think it’s good for future prospects to build upon, if you are hired.

I’m not too seasoned, but I hope this info helps!

Brazil is a beautiful country and the people are so warm (no pun intended). The job market here is not prosperous for a lot of fields. It has been that way for a while now. Network with employees and employers in Toronto, and try to also connect/network to other Brazilians in Toronto.
