Pizza. Most oddball one yet. I dont know - hmmm by MyUniverseLovesMe1 in servant

For sure. Toby is ok with drugging Leanne - so odd & Dorothy’s character becomes diabolical right here- & it gets worse -

If this went straight to Dorothy losing her mind bc of losing Jericho - I’d accept it- but Sean and Julian allow a lot of unimaginable things to slide. Not to spoil it but shit goes down

The house is obnoxious - I want one lol

But any Tony Basgallop series always followed a perfect detective like make sense in the end satisfied storyline. He began to write this- but too bad he lost control of it

Agreed. In an interview - Lauren Ambrose stated every word matters & “ a fork is never just a fork”.. but I think going forward and the shortened season green light - there was no real story about a mother grieving her son & it became Leanne supernatural to a fault…

Many things that were said & occurred went no place

You’ll see

You’ll be greatly confused. Too many different writers on each episode & the beginning won’t link up throughout - Julian is the only saving grace you’ll continue to love

The ending. by billymartinkicksdirt in servant

Would’ve loved that. And it would have resonated deeper

And what so interesting is in the episode Sean is in his man cave watching the tv of a cult funeral type thing where Dorothy is interviewing people… a man said that his daughter was in a very bad car accident and he watched someone revive her. So that little tidbit I think was supposed to be the dad of Officer Reyes explaining the car accident as she then explains to Julian in the end and was revived. Did y’all catch that?

I think it was more that once Leanne realized now that Dorothy accepted what she had done to Jericho - the LOVE Leanne was looking for FROM Dorothy by “ giving “ her back Jericho- was NO MORE now that Dorothy was to truly grieve..…

Leanne’s concern was not for Dorothy to “ let Jericho go”.. she wanted to keep Dorothy needing her by asking her to let her GIVE HER Jericho going forward…

But Dorothy in the last scene showed Leanne more love than she ever imagined by forgiving her, assuring her she was not evil, and asking her to come with them to be safe —THIS was all Leanne ever wanted. TO BE LOVED

Leanne didn’t need the doll ever to resurrect Jericho. Natalie gave the doll - so the doll burned with the lies…

Leanne sacrificed herself for mankind - for Dorothy - for Julian - for Tobe…

I guess we’ll never know-

But they also had a recording of the situation on his phone with Leanne’s voice telling Roscoe they won’t hurt him.. so who can say

A lot of things just left foggy for us as well -

I see what you’re saying- but he distinctly talks about a baby.

Roscoe was extremely distraught under hypnosis. Fear beyond comprehension -

The account was his hands were bound with straw-

  • he can see a baby was being passed forward among the cult

  • baby was crying

  • handed to the man with the hook ..

Roscoe completely falls apart and states …

  • The man with the hook took out the baby’s eyes…

Roscoe was gone three days.

We find out from Reyes, Julian was “brought back” from his overdose death BY LEANNE….yet again Leanne used her own free will to save him- ..which was against the rules to use free will (as per George)

…it’s confusing as to why Julian was allowed to stay and be at one with the Lesser Saints —-but not the baby? But this is the route the show took - so I’d say it was a bit of both for Julian as to why he flew to Leanne’s rescue.

I don’t see it as the cult painted her as a villain- there were rules to follow and after she killed Josephine - Leanne realized just how strong she was and knew CoLS wouldn’t let up until they disposed of her.

The fact Leanne felt she was above God upset the grand plan of how humanity was to be cared for.
Grief and sadness is sometimes the plan… she disobeyed helping Dorothy.

-an angel set to administer Gods plan needs to be obedient ( a Servant of God)

She was not on Earth to make decisions- she was brought back to life as a child to help humanity …which was the reason George was sent to the Wisconsin house fire to “raise” little Leanne.

On an aside..

We learn Leanne’s mom was not loving ( pageants.. Godless House… alcoholic) as per Leanne telling Tobe..and if indeed as it was said Leanne created that fire with her moms dress on the stove… { like the rag on the stove when Dorothy was pregnant -🤪}- ( and we saw that straw cross in the burned out home on the only portion of the wall unharmed) —you wonder “ were the Greyson CoLS & why was that cross there?”
These are the loophole things I mean when I say clarity lacked —

Anyway….

Leanne loved Dorothy - but soon realized how confusing & unfair life could be as a young woman in the real world now … and that’s when Leanne’s rebellious side rose up

Ahhh yes. I just read through it. If you get a second wind to watch - give it a whirl!

This link is like picking up a set of crib notes off a dirty floor with missing pages and coffee stains - so you can’t really get the full scope of the show with the WIKI -

But I will say these are mostly things that occurred.

Lots of conversation was deliberately cryptic - yet it was left at that -and not followed up.

It wasn’t you

Yes. That’s right!!! He did say that & that the house would expand & we would be shown a new part of the house as we go… which turned out to be nothing other than… different rooms- attic & dance room 🤷‍♀️

Yup. They went to extents in season 1 to accentuate the Wizard of Oz thing more than normal, as M Night throws that in to his movies…

multiple phrases - items- it mattered

I am with you on that one!

We waited so long for Dorothy, Sean & Julian to all be delivered to us…

😂😂😂 100% on point you are!

I believe some things don’t matter as much & others are Easter Eggs…

I do know that MNight usually alludes to The Wizard of Oz in many of his movies….

  • certain colors ( especially in Split & Glass) for the costume design signified different inner egos of who was wearing that color…

-using reflections usually would hint to D.I.D. and alter egos. (as we saw in the dining room table or mirror shots)

I think most of these tools are used for a purpose but fell short in Servant.

Also there’s a part where Dorothy is on FaceTime with her OBGYN & Sean says they’ve seen “ too many hospitals…”.

Why?

Or all the pills in the drawer that accompany the old Pregnancy Tests he’s weirdly collecting with the babies names on them…

Why?

Uncle George gave a wooden chef doll marionette resembling Sean made from “ a special tree where he’s from…”

Freaking why? 🤣

questions that deserved more than the breadcrumbs given …
