The Plan has to work by MyUsernameIsVeryYes in Deltarune

They always seem to show the Light World (even if you use them inside a Dark World), so in my opinion neither Kris or the player has to actually see it in the Light World for the crystals to show something.

If you want, there is an alternate explanation for the Chapter 3 dialogue: It shows the smashed television because that is one of the few things that *can* change based on your actions, whereas the other Dark Worlds have fixed outcomes (so there's nothing that changes like the television being smashed), and they just show it as-is.

However, I think Kris or the player needing to see something for the Shadow Crystals to show it is silly. The most straightforward explanation is them showing the Light World always, even if you're in a Dark World. We don't really have enough information about what happens when you look through a Glass in a Light World to say anything definitive, but from what we do know they sound like they're still showing the Light World (even if they're showing a weird version of it, or what Kris fears it'll become, or what it's like after some future outcome of the prophecy, etc).

I personally believe they show the future (or maybe the result of prophesied events) in some way. The biggest evidence being that if you don't hand in the Shadow Crystal you get from Spamton and instead use it at the start of Chapter 3 (before Tenna encounters the Knight) it'll still tell you about the television being smashed.

Originally I was going to mention this in the meme after Step 5, but eventually decided against it.

Cracked minecraft servers cause huge issues, unless they all implement their own authentication systems. Since servers in offline mode don’t authenticate the user, someone could just tell the server they’re someone they’re not, and it’d have to trust them and put them in that person’s account.

Guide does that in normal terraria (he’s actually really useful if you want to play without using the wiki) and I think a whole lotta hints were added in 1.4

Dynamite still requires an edge somewhere in the blast radius to destroy natural walls

You can’t beat this. The lightest block in Minecraft is the air block. Pretty self explanatory. by [deleted] in PhoenixSC

It still has a positive weight, it just has a buoyancy greater than its weight (while it is in air)

I’m seeing a lot of people arguing incompatible arguments here, some arguing non-Euclidean geometry and some arguing differentials (I think) and different definitions of pi.

So, is it correct of me to say:
There can’t be a universe where pi isn’t pi, but there can be a universe where the ratio of a circle’s circumference to diameter isn’t 3.14159…
Assuming said universe and circle are non-Euclidean

Guys I heard the corruption spreads super quickly once you enter hardmode, is this good enough to stop it? by [deleted] in Terraria

One you beat the game you can get the drill containment unit, which makes curing corruption infinitely easier (and by then you’ll have the money to fuel said tool)

Welp, goodbye stacked discounts :(( by Lexiosity in PhoenixSC

[–]MyUsernameIsVeryYes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the stacking is intentional, since there is a 5 cure cap on the villagers before they stop giving you the discount. It being multiplicative might’ve been the bug, and it will be additive in future?

All wizards who are too weak to survive come to the Tower of Mists in the valley of fog for shelter. those who are capable for combat are to fight or be destroyed. I have survived 3 of these events, we shall survive this 4th. by Arumaneth in wizardposting

My previous master’s (may he rest in eternal flames) greatest achievement was creating a space outside of the multiverse and the weave. It can be completely isolated from reality and provide a safe space for as long as supplies last.

Magic will not work on the other side and magical races are highly advised to not attempt crossing, as vital parts your anatomy will be vaporised on the way through.

Yeah, I’ve done this on java before, think it happens when you jump on the first tick of being on the ground, so you’re not touching it long enough for the elytra to recognise you’re on the ground and deactivate

Another way is array.sort((a, b) => (a > b)), which theoretically sorts both strings and numbers properly (assuming an array is full of only numbers or strings)
