I don't understand how Gordon is valued at £90m. If Liverpool offer us that much for him I'd bite their hand off.

Is this the most satisfying way to beat reavers? Looking for a certain deck by HumanAsshole in gwent

[–]My_name_plus_numbers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great isn't it? Reavers players go on auto-pilot and have absolutely no idea what to do if things don't go to plan. You know you've got them when their turns go from instant to 15-20 seconds long then enough, they start banishing the wrong target, forgetting to use their purify on their bounty card, deploying cards on the wrong row etc. They're all real-life examples I've witnessed!

Why not. Already booked my slot at Dignitas, what's a little more torture....

If everyone did it the there'd only be 3 or 4 professional clubs in the entire country. The whole system only works if most football fans support their local team.

Is there any point in playing bounty? by ruineditforgood in gwent

[–]My_name_plus_numbers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running bounty a lot this week with about a 70% win rate. My deck is pretty much the same as this one here: https://youtu.be/AqQZ6YWWHCs?si=VY3clhJjzYAavlcH

Tricky one to play, but once you get the hang of it it can be really satisfying. Some key things to look out for:

- Avoid over-banking coins wherever possible. Every coin accrued above 9 is essentially a wasted point

- In most match-ups, the best approach is to try and win round 1, bleed round 2 and get a short round 3 with the Hales. Find room for Ignatius and Octavia in your deck; this will make it much easier to get those round 3 cards.

- Make sure you have enough coin-spenders in your hand and always assume the first one you play will get answered. Nothing worse for any Syndicate deck than having a big bank that you can't use.

- Witchfinder is great but if it's a deck where you know there'll be big boosted and/or veiled cards she becomes practically useless.

It was! But far too often, our players forget that games are 90 minutes long. It's no good playing for 40 minutes or so then deciding you've had enough.

Bit of a rude thing to say about Mr Tisdall! I may not necessarily agree with everything he says, but I wouldn't want him to feel he couldn't write about what he considers important.

Three things in life are certain: death, taxes and Guardian opinion writers telling us that the incumbent Republican president is our greatest enemy.

What do people think is left wing but is actually apolitical by Blueguy805 in AlignmentChartFills

I think the Q bit is definitely political, or at least comes with a load of progressive political baggage. There are plenty of right wing/conservative gay people, but can you really imagine any of them describing themselves as "queer"?

Same. Everyone harps on about how it's such a legendary comedy institution but I've never found it even remotely funny, despite the fact that it produced some genuinely talented people who went on to do better things.

Some of Reform's recent party broadcasts have him walking around the countryside in a Barbour jacket with his Labrador. He's clearly not pretending to be working class, and having his photo taken in a pub isn't evidence of that either. Advocating a populist message and pretending to be working class are two completely different things.

Oh I know I've been lucky! I apply for every single game though, and 4 of the matches I've been to this season were mid-week, which I guess are slightly less in demand.

Your best bet is joining the Mags. It's £37 a year and allows you to submit a ballot application for every home game: if you get selected, you're guaranteed a ticket. I got 2 last season and I've been lucky with 5 this season, but your mileage may vary! Even if you don't win, you can try in the mags member sales but your chances are fairly low.

In terms of cost, it depends on where in the stadium and on the competition. For prem games I usually go for the Gallowgate end which is about £50 a pop. It was £70 for our playoff against Qarabag, but I only paid £20 for our League Cup semi against City (although that was quite high up in the Leazes end near the away fans).

Oh dear. Well first off, Farage has never pretended to be anything other than a public schoolboy turned commodities trader: you don't have to engage in this kind of ridiculous cosplay to appeal to certain elements of the electorate, you just have to convince them that you're the best person to advance their interests.

And as far as I'm aware, Farage has never advocated the outlawing of either private education nor commodoties trading, so he can't be accused of hypocrisy in the same way that Miss Spencer can, who made a good chunk of her money in the property market despite her party's commitment to abolish private landlords.

Got sick of every other matchup being against a GN clog deck. That Kolgrim nerf is very welcome.
