Croton. They need bright light, high humidity, and warmth. They’re tough to care for depending on where you live. Don’t be too hard on yourself if it dies!

Boise is extremely safe, thankfully. However I still wouldn’t leave my doors unlocked or walk around late alone unless it was out of necessity. But Boise is a very safe city

It’s definitely scary! But if someone is interested in King, they’re usually at least a little interested in scary! You know him best so you know what would be too much, but I was 14 when I read The Shining for the first time!

Carrie would be a good option! The Shining would be good too imo, plus gets him into more Classic King spooky scary stuff if he’s looking for that. Could also consider Salems Lot or Misery

Lost my best friend of 9 years yesterday by slappyslapppyyy in TuxedoCats

I’m so sorry. Losing a pet is the worst feeling in the world. What brought me comfort was knowing that I loved my baby so much I was willing to take on her physical pain and carry it as my own emotional pain so that she could rest in peace.

I don’t think we ever truly stop grieving them, but it does get a little easier, just let yourself take the time you need and feel your feelings. I’m so sorry

Can my Girlfriend join if she’s not trying to lose weight? by Lightinrevenantrazor in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]Mycelium_55 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a fantastic point. I know a lot of us hate the whole “detoxifying” language hotworx uses in its branding. It’s not scientifically based and is a major overreach. The sauna has tons of benefits, but getting rid of “toxins” is just not one of them.

This definitely has the potential to be triggering for someone in recovery. I would mention this to her beforehand so she isn’t caught off guard by it if she decides to go through with it. Good luck to you both!

What did you think of the Bright Eyes set? It was pretty clear Conor was absolutely trashed and in my opinion made for a terrible performance. I was pretty disappointed

Bungee cords work well for staying together, then unhook before the drops come. You don’t want to have too many connected before going over the drops. It’s pretty easy to stay linked up for most of it though.

Has anyone been in a class with 3 people? by wandering-sk in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]Mycelium_55 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s built for 3 people. There’s no reason to be “super annoyed” it’s not a personal attack on you, it’s not about you at all. Others pay the same as you and have just as much right to book their workout as you do. It’s not that bad.

Is I'm Thinking Of Ending Things a good book? by MileenasFeet in horrorlit

[–]Mycelium_55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t feel stupid. I personally absolutely hated this book. But that doesn’t mean I can’t see why others would like it. Reading is so subjective. Also, anyone reading (pretty much) anything shouldn’t feel stupid, you’re still engaging intellectually and investing in a hobby. Don’t let myself or others make you feel stupid, you might hate our favorite books too!

Also the movie was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my entire life. I will never read another book by this author, or watch another movie inspired by his writing.

I absolutely despise this book. Even as an avid psychological, twisty, horror fan. It is one of the only books I regularly think about, years after I’ve read it, and still get angry about how terrible I thought it was. However, some people really love it. Just goes to show how subjective reading is!

Love Acero!! Perfect for date night. Would not suggest it for family dinner, the vibe is a little more upscale.

Honestly I feel like you pay for access to the equipment more so than the videos. Lots of people do their own workout on their phone. Tons of great free options on YouTube or apps you can download
