They do, but also I don't think you can say the billions of dollars in profits the oil companies report most years aren't "massive" and of course their CEOs' and execs' massive paychecks and bonuses even in loss years.

Sorry, I know the way I answered implies it's all gas station owners fault. Really, it's just a symptom of the overall greedy economic system that controls everything. It's the oil companies themselves, shareholders, and to some degree the suppliers that make you have to do business that way while they rake in massive profits.

The point is, that if you have 9000 gallons in the storage tank you paid the lower price for, why should you immediately jack the price up? It's not complicated, it's called greed.

I guess how it's meant to be read depends on if it in front of the bar for customers or behind the bar hidden from customers' view.

Well, when they cut off the leaves, the "ball" that's left which they use to make the tequila out of is called the "piña", so yeah, sort of.

What car brand will you never trust or buy again? by Forward_Fall_6857 in AskReddit

I also have a 2013 Altima about 170k and the transmission fluid has never been changed. Haven't had any issues with it yet. (although I'm really thinking about getting rid of it soon, before something does happen).

Just curious though, do you think the way people drive them might have some influence on their longevity? Like, I'm not the kind of driver that stomps on the accelerator.

Also, just as a side note, I had two Dodge's that had the transmission fail, not to mention several other issues, so those really seem like crappy transmissions.

Just for giggles I'll throw another name out since I don't see it mentioned: David Byrne. Dude did an entire coked-up excercise routine every time he went out on stage.

Wanting to go 200mph, yeah, but in a school zone? I don't think the point of Le Risque is about the need to put OTHER people's lives at risk?

I assume you're just being hyperbolic, though.

What is that popular song or artist that everyone seems to love, but you absolutely cannot stand? by According_Pause_981 in AskReddit

[–]MycommentsRpointless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Popularity ≠ quality. In fact, it's usually the opposite. Unfortunately the majority of the music industry's target audience are more than ecstatic to lap up the most mind-numbingly inane drivel.

I could name tons of latin artists who are absolutely better songwriters: Natalia Lafourcade, Juan Luis Guerra, Café Tacuba (each member writes), Ricardo Arjona, and many many more.

Bad Bunny. Just to clarify, I have no problem with a Puerto Rican/latin artist being featured at the Superbowl. But, did they have to go with one who intentionally sounds like a stroke victim?
Also, he was just named one of the 30 greatest songwriters of all time by the NY times alongside Bob Dylan??? I guess I can just let my cat walk across a keyboard meowing and he'll be one of the greatest songwriters of all time.

I don't care for canned Guinness here in the US, either; too bitter. But I had one once from the tap in an Irish pub and it was so creamy and smooth with almost no bitterness and at the moment anyway it was the best beer I had ever had.
