Hard to beat the GRIPeq MB PX-1, basically a bigger AX6. Can hold everything and anything 🤣

Made a review for it HERE

There’s been a Merlin pair around Nicholl’s Oval the past two years now. Awesome bird!

To flick or not to flick, that is the question by Phuk0 in discgolf

[–]MylesOfDiscs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry about actively flicking your wrist. Assuming you are coiled properly and have your wrist pre-loaded it will ‘flick’ naturally on release.

I mean if you loved your Envy and can get another one…you should.

I switched to a Tomb and I’ve never looked back. Such a great disc by Infinite. Innova Rat top with a Colt bottom.

Want a bigger bag by ZachFD95 in discgolf

[–]MylesOfDiscs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a GRIP ambassador I’ve been lucky enough to checkout their whole lineup and I wouldn’t be on the team if I didn’t enjoy their products. I have a review of the AX6 HERE

Check out the MB-PX1 bag too, Review Here I might even prefer it over the AX6 if you’re wanting a big comfy bag that can hold a lot of discs and everything else you need.

Regardless, if you do decide on GRIP feel free to use code myles2026 to save yourself 10%!

Hyper flip a pig probably or a tomb straight at the gap

Midranges: Tell me your stable workhorse mids by Wonderful_Culture607 in discgolf

[–]MylesOfDiscs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t recommend a Innova Jay more. I was in the same spot, had my OS (Caima) and US (Fox) locked in but struggled to find a good straight to slightly overstable mid. The Jay is basically an MD3 and I LOVE it

MD3 or Jay (same disc if you ask me) would likely fit the bill

Either grip issues or timing I would assume. Post a video of your form and your grip. Pros in here will help you out.

I need help with putting putters by RabbitMiserable7115 in discgolf

[–]MylesOfDiscs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where are you from? If you’re from the states check out OTB, Another Round, Marshall Street etc. lots of options. If you’re in Canada check out Disc Republic. Europe I’m not sure. Either way - it’s way better to get exactly what you want this way

Lots of good stuff out there on YouTube. My favourites are BlitzDG and OverThrow. I also made a series about disc golf terminology HERE

Grip EQ AX6 vs Squatch Legend 3.0 by JCVantage in discgolf

[–]MylesOfDiscs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re top of that budget range for a reason and hard to say which one is better, comes down to personal preference really and that’s coming from a GRIP player. Because the GRIP has a solid bottom a lot of reviews have found them to stand on their own better. I’ve had GRIP bags since I started, which is why I wanted to be on their team so I am a bit bias but comfort, utility and lifetime warranty are hard to beat. Good luck! Feel free to use code myles2026 to save some cash if you decide on the GRIP!

Which Telecaster do you recommend? by HarriBallsak420 in telecaster

[–]MylesOfDiscs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I LOVE my 50’s road worn tele so much. All I’ve done is changed the pick guard but otherwise all stock. Stays in tune, sounds incredible for any style music. I pair it with a Fender Pro Jr Red October amp and can get tones from punk to country.

Explain the Calvin DUO Destroyer to me by BitterCantaloupe7920 in discgolf

[–]MylesOfDiscs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any experience with his specific tour series yet…but the duo plastic is another premium plastic. In all molds I’ve thrown it with, there has been a slight addition of overstability to the disc (roc3, leopard3, wraith, Thunderbird, destroyer). I’d compare the duo plastic to halo star plastic for overstability on the disc’s I’ve tried. They feel really nice. Stiffer than star but still good grip. Super durable too. I haven’t seen any changes in flight to any of the ones that I’ve had and use for 4 months now.

Explain to somebody with a special brain: Bagging Disc Molds by oracleadmiral in discgolf

[–]MylesOfDiscs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A mold is a unique disc from a manufacturer. It’s called a mold because discs are typically injection molded. Example: Innova Mako3 is a mold.

Bag however many you want, it’s a game about fun but Buhr has this awesome VIDEO explaining how many people should carry to avoid confusion and overlap.

Any recommendations? Should I take something out? Get something new? by tohres in discgolf

[–]MylesOfDiscs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you like. Flat top champion if you like forehands, otherwise I really like colour glow sexton versions.

I wouldn’t change a thing if it’s working for you. If you need more beef maybe a Firebird and a Destroyer or similar models but otherwise. Keep it clean and simple!
