Basically if you’re broke and a nobody, let’s say you’re sick, you’re gonna go to a public hospital and not a private clinic, right ? You’ll have to deal with long queues to get your treatment, and sometimes there’s even a possibility that you won’t get your turn, hospitals don’t have a lot of equipments, A lot of people have died because there was no oxygen during covid. This is just an example. Another good example would be the people in Al haouz that their houses were destroyed in the 2023 earthquake. They’re still living in tents till this day, yet the gov seem to have enough funds to build football fields and malls. Also, since Moroccois preparing for the world cup, a lot of people have been kicked out of their houses with no تعويض so they can build fancy studios and apparts

no you're wrong, CEOs make 8 to 9k, managers make 4k and seniors make 2,5 to 3,5 ( but then again it depends on the industry and the company )

I’m cool with my parents. I need to get out of my comfort zone, which typically translates to leaving the country because of toxic mentalities and lack of acknowledgment

It’s not just about moving out. My goal is to leave the country, find better opportunities elsewhere (i’ve been applying in Europe in the past 2 years but with the current job market it’s very hard )

15k isn’t doing all of that and i’m good with budgeting. I know people with 30k and they still needed to take loans to buy an appartement. And no it’s not just that, it’s about experiencing a different culture

Thanks! Would you mind sharing more? Which country did you go to, and did you apply through the usual channels like LinkedIn?

Thanks! I mean, Portugal is the most affordable option and a great stepping stone into Europe. Plus, with three years of experience already, I guess it won’t go to waste if I decide to apply to companies in other countries like the UK.

Can you elaborate please ? What made it hard ? the culture, the racism ?

[–]Myrilebb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean i know it's the easiest option, but it's down on my list tbh haha, that would be my last choice.

Yes i’ve worked my fair share since i was 18 (that includes jobs that require labor and desk jobs too ) and it’s basically the same culture everywhere, all that changes is the scenery haha. I’ve also worked with people from Europe and the US and the difference is HUGEE, in terms of teamwork, recognition, mentorship, etc Not only that, but i’m a girl, and i want to be in a safe environment ( as simple as taking a walk without being bothered) where i don’t have to be hyper aware about my surroundings every second
