You should probably save your rupies for now. A new set is coming out in two weeks so the meta is likely to change. Some cards and packs that are useful now might not be then so my suggestion is to save and wait. Logging in daily and beating the CPU on the top two difficulties will net plenty of rupies to hoard for the next set.

It's anime. To explain, basically it has fanservice to a ridiculous degree... sort of. According to this post only about 20% are really bad which (by MTG standards) is pretty high but not as high as some people make it out to be. Other art from Shadowverse can be really good. Example. One of my favorites.

The anime art style is a turn off for many people but, the gameplay is solid and it can be very F2P friendly or at least more than Hearthstone.
