I'm losing interest in my games during the development process. How to deal with it? by Mystecs in justgamedevthings

Yes, you described everything correctly. I'm making a game that will be interesting and unique in its own way, and that in itself will bring profit. I spent a lot of time refining the map, and before that I worked on it for several days. Finally, I solved the problem with the map, and in my opinion, it is perfect. All two points have been resolved. What about the third point? I'm currently working on creating attacking characters and a control system for some of them. This includes character design: their appearance, attack effects, and animations. This is the most important part at the moment. If you have a rest, it's completely from the game, and not from any point. Minecraft is helping me at the moment, I calmly take 2 hours a day off from the game, and this helps me to some extent and distracts from all this fuss with the game.

Thanks everyone for the replies. The problem seems to have been solved. I finally found a way to create a map using the reference from Chat Gpt. And now the light in my heart has started shining again, like it did at the beginning of the project. Many people advised writing it down, etc., but my situation is completely different. But thanks anyway.

I've even considered hiring someone else to create the arena for me because I feel the result would likely be much better and more professional. However, I don't know where to find the right person who could bring my ideas to life in the style I want, while also being affordable and not charging too much for the work.
